Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

Yes, I remember Lavenderhoney leaving her husband - I hope she and her daughters are doing well. Most of all, like @SuburbanCrofter, I think of the poster who latterly became known just as 'Am'. We had such an awesome support thread going. I'm sure she posted more recently as LadyStoic and she was getting engaged. She had a very distinctive writing style! Hope all is going well for her.

The teenager who was going to uni and her foster mum had recently been diagnosed with cancer. There was a problem with the foster brother and they asked her leave, after being in the family for six years. She was living in a hostel waiting for exam results. I often wonder if she got to uni, she seemed so strong.

The woman who's husband was having an affair with a Greek woman and he went to Athens (to meet her family?) She had 4 threads running and seemed to be doing so well when a bunch of posters told her off for being dependant on him and not having her own money. I don't think she came back, but I think of her often and hope she is doing ok.

As well as Mauri..post the cheque..the lady who found money at bottom of the garden; the foster carer who looked after drug dependent babies..I haven't seen eatshitderek in ages and miss her, (will think of more!!)

I also remember a thread by a poster called iwashappy which took us through her having suspicions of an affair her DH was having, through to him leaving for the OW, whom she'd thought was a friend. But there was also something fishy about it, I think?

I also remember tidydancer's thread (I think?) about being sent a save the date but not an invite to school friend's wedding. Then being asked to use her creative skills to decorate the hall. There was also something about having a strip torn off her by the bride's sister for not being accommodating enough.
It was hilarious and unbelievable.

Who ever the poster was whose brother was killed in the family scrap car business...I can't even remember her posting name

TBH over the years there have been some posters who've posted things I can't deal with so have had to forget their posts.

Anyone going through emotional/verbal/physical abuse. I know I put up with more than I should have done but there were folks going through far worse & still are. Thank goodness things are way better for me 🙂

kerrymumbles posted my favourite thread ever. I always wonder how she's doing (and hope she is happy).

There was a lady on here when I first joined up. Her first thread was called something like 'has anyone ever fixed a completely fucked up life' and it very soon became apparent that her alcohol addiction was her major problem. She started going to AA and seemed to be making big progress, but then I lost track of the threads.
I'd imagine it's a very long road, with lots of bumps and diversions, but I often think of her and hope she's doing well. She seemed so sad.

Anyone know what happened to the family where the grandparents wouldn't fit a handrail on the stairs， although a grandchild had been severely injured. Apart from op, the family was,in denial.

GentleOtter. On her farm in Scotland. I used to read her blood but don't think she's written for a few years. She wrote so beautifully and had had such a hard time.
