Hyphenated names

SIL just had her 1st baby and gave her a really beautiful name and middle name which now I have seen written down I realise they have hyphenated.

It it just me or is this not a massive PITA having a hyphenated name for form filling, it's a mouthful and will inevitably be shortened whether you want it or not?

Pick one name FFs!

I have noticed it's getting quite popular.

My DD has the middle name 'May' in memory of passed loved ones.

People used to constantly use First name+May and we would need to correct them.

I know a lot of people use May/Mae in a hyphenated name, but we preferred it as a completely separate middle name instead.
