DC2 is due today. I woke up at 00.55, felt a tiny pop before I felt a trickle of fluid. Waddled to the bathroom, got myself cleaned up, laid bed mats and towel on bed before getting back in. By 1.30 I was back in the bathroom changing pad etc from trickle no 2.

Absolutely no contractions so far. AIBU to try to go back to sleep and wait to call hospital tomorrow morning?? With DD1 my waters didn't go until I'd already got to the hospital

I've been thinking about you on and off today after reading your earlier posts, OP. Fingers crossed for a nice easy birth for you! Sounds like things are progressing now.

What a punctual baby, I was also born on my due date. Sadly it may have been the last time I got anywhere on time Smile

MrsPottsTeaCosy · 20/09/2017 15:15

My DH would be delighted if my waters broke during the night. He keeps telling me to go into labour in the morning so he doesn't have to go in to work.
Good luck!!

So been on the postnatal ward for 3 hours now. I think I may have been forgotten about. No one has been to check up on me anyway .....

Contractions are still bloody irregular. Come on baby, sort it out. I don't want induction drugs or to be kept in too long. It's your big sisters birthday on Friday!!!!!

He keeps telling me to go into labour in the morning so he doesn't have to go in to work.

This is something I imagine my DH saying!

Hang in there OP.

Mooey89 · 20/09/2017 16:36

Sorry, I'm absolutely shamelessly placemarking for the squishy baby pics! Good luck OP! You're making me broody! X

Bumbumtaloo · 20/09/2017 16:40

Good luck op!

I just wanted to say both of mine were born without regular contractions, if I'd have waited for them to be 5mins apart I would have had homebirths as they never did go to 5mins apart.

justforthisthread101 · 20/09/2017 16:40

Ooh I love this bit Grin

I don't want any more babies but having them is quite fun!

It's DD2's birthday on Friday too! Happy birthday to your big 'un and hope you're home for it!

Oysterbabe · 20/09/2017 16:41

I commented in the night, sending you pushing vibes, so excited for you and slightly broody :)

123bananas · 20/09/2017 16:57

Ooh exciting, good luck!

I had irregular contractions with dc2 up until half an hour before her birth. Went from every 5 minutes to back to back contractions on the walk to the car from the house. Blue lighted to hospital as she was coming quick, 10cm and pushing on arrival. It can change quick once those contractions ramp up.

CosyFires · 20/09/2017 17:01

Good luck op! GrinFlowers

I'm starting to get fed up. I want to go home to my little girl but I don't think she'd forgive me if I went home without the baby!!

Might send my mum in search of midwife to see what the plan is, if there is one!!
