It must be galling for Americans - those that think about 'out-of-state' matters - to realise that they have a POTUS who is only respected for the fact that he has the codes.

It appears that they have enough evidence to indict Manafort for financial crimes. They're waving that over his head to get him to talk.
They likely want Manafort to spill about Russian activities in 2016 election, want to see if he can elaborate on the info they already have
If Mueller's team poured over all the FISA evidence & files they collected from Manafort, they know he knows more than he's willing to share
IMO, all of these recent leaks are likely designed to put more pressure on Manafort. Public pressure to hurt his reputation, get him 2 crack
Don't know if the leaks are coming from Mueller but I don't think it's a coincidence that all of this is leaking like a facet.
Some experts are saying that the leaks are coming from grand jurors or the defense lawyers themselves; that may be true, too.

Keep this in the back of your mind. I have Dem strategist friends who are worried about the ramifications of this, in the leadup to 2020.
It's early-ish days, but some of those friends are already saying: "If he learns how to be bipartisan, he might very well get reelected."

The trouble with Pruitt's comments there- he's repeating the idea that there's a Red team/Blue team divide between scientists on the question of human made climate change (and that therefore pro and anti views are equally valid).

Almost all the scientists are in the Red Team (i.e. They conclude, based of the best evidence we have, that humans are influencing climate and we need to do something about it because it's going to cause us a lot of problems if we don't).

The Blue Team has very few scientists on it's side, and there tends to be conflicts of interest when you look at their funding... fossil fuel lobby, and religion too.

Even though Paul "the Moscow Mule" Manafort helped Trump get elected, the bigger concern is that he handpicked Pence as the Kremlin's @VP.
Manafort hand-picked Pence for @VP because Russia wanted a solid ally in place in case the predictability unstable Trump was impeached.
