To take my ds out of nursery

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 21:49

Not even a long story. I suspect (well know from talk and evidence) of the manageress of the nursery I put my ds to doing Coke. It's a someone has run their hand over the toilet evidence if anyone thinks I'm being silly.

I know I have to take my ds out but having other kids gone through the nursery I don't know if I'm overreacting. I've done a lot of things in my time but drugs has always been the cut off. I'm so angry

That's really serious, how do you know it was coke? And how do you know it was hers?

Shouldnotwouldnot · 15/09/2017 21:53

She's doing it in nursery? If not what's it got to do with anything?

OlennasWimple · 15/09/2017 21:56

"Talk and evidence" - not the same thing. If you haven't seen the evidence yourself, it's just gossip really.

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 21:57

No she's not doing it at nursery. Maybe it's just me being weird in what I expect of people. I don't even know why I posted on here now should have known it wouldn't help. I'll get it removed

What do you mean by run their hands over the toilet?

No one's used the top of a cistern to rack up on since smartphones were invented in 2000. Promise.

But if you're not happy with her generally- by all means take your business elsewhere.

Callamia · 15/09/2017 21:59

Does anyone really do coke off a toilet? I thought that was a tragic old cliché. You have no evidence, but I'm wondering what made anyone think that she might be - odd behaviour?

jaseyraex · 15/09/2017 22:02

How do you know this is happening? A bit more information would be helpful if you want advice. Unfortunately if she's not doing it at work then there's not much you can do other than make the decision to remove your own child.

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 22:03

Sadly a coworker ran her hand off the cistern right after she exited and it was white so maybe where I am just isn't up in Coke taking etiquette. The only one that was using that toilet by the way so that avenue is covered too. I've asked for my thread to be deleted

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 22:04

You're right it's my own decision. So I'll just do it. Thanks for the input

KadabrasSpoon · 15/09/2017 22:06

Why has the other staff member told the parents and not reported it? If I've understood that correctly

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 22:09

It was at the restaurant where I work. Not at the actual nursery. It's a case of what's done off premises but then I maybe just have a weird thing over drugs, thanks everyone for their input.

Bunnyhipsdontliegrl · 15/09/2017 22:09

You're sure it wasn't makeup?

CoffeeBreakIn5 · 15/09/2017 22:10

OP if I was in your position and that evidence was undeniable I would absolutely pull my DS out of that nursery and I would cite the exact reason why. Do you have any other reason to believe that this person is not capable of looking after your DS? How did this discovery come about? Was it planned or a coincidence?

If I had doubts about the person looking after my DS I'd take him out anyway, you have to be comfortable and after that I know I wouldn't be.

MyDcAreMarvel · 15/09/2017 22:10

It could have been any person that night!

peachybeachy · 15/09/2017 22:10

No one would leave coke on top of a cistern. It's too expensive. Maybe it was dust? If you have evidence though maybe you should go to the police.

Bunnyhipsdontliegrl · 15/09/2017 22:11

And why does your coworker (in a restaurant!!) run their fingers on toilet cisterns?

ImTakingTheEssence · 15/09/2017 22:12

Why post something so controversial and ask for it to be deleted? Naturally people are asking questions to get a better understanding.

CoffeeBreakIn5 · 15/09/2017 22:12

Then in that case I'd do it, no question. I definitely have an issue with anyone doing drugs and they're not going to be around my son if I can help it.

CoffeeBreakIn5 · 15/09/2017 22:16

peachy as a waitress we used to have to check the toilets regularly - either for people or anything that wasn't allowed (evidence of smoking, drugs etc). The best way to check was to run a hand over the cistern. This was in an establishment with a good reputation by the way, very expensive and not somewhere drugs would be expected.

flowerydems · 15/09/2017 22:17

They ran their hand over cause it's weird when a couple of people disappear into the toilet and come out wired.
The police are rarely called as a lot of premises want to keep it in house these days as it causes more problems, easier to ban and make sure they don't come back.
I'm pretty sure they weren't shagging before anyone says that may be what they were doing,
And to all that say Coke wouldn't be wasted it wasn't a huge amount but it was there. And it definitely wasn't dust. At this place there used to be Vaseline put on the cisterns but it's been a while since there were issues

Thanks coffee glad you understand

Shouldnotwouldnot · 15/09/2017 22:42

This all sounds very small town gossip to me. Depressing

StickThatInYourPipe · 15/09/2017 22:53

I don't understand how any of this is proven evidence. A - how and why do you know she is the only person to have used a toilet in a restaurant. B - why did your mate start fingering the cistern? C - were you with them through the evening to see change in personality and in what way were they wired?

TheMaddHugger · 16/09/2017 04:22

better safe than sorry. take him out.

((((((Hugs)))))

ilovesooty · 16/09/2017 04:31

This all sounds a bit nebulous.
