lol @ 'they crap in our garden and peer in our window'
Next they'll be 'smoking you out'

SparklyGothKat · 03/04/2007 22:15

I have 3 cat too, he is stupid and runs away from the cats lol!!

2shoesonanegghunt · 03/04/2007 22:18

Yes, 2shoes, they drive me mad too. Why should I put up with piles of poo in the garden where my son runs around, plus the occasional smell of cat pee in the house because one of the little darlings comes and pees around the back door? I've washed it down and put down "cat off" type stuff but still they come.

powder28 · 03/04/2007 22:21

oi peaches! what did you wear to your interview?

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 03/04/2007 22:21

sadly cats are independent and there is no way of keeping them under control.

powder28 · 03/04/2007 22:23

My mums grandfather was a farmer. he used to drown kittens in a bucket!

Also my grans sister killed a cat by leaving a piece of sponge soaked in salmon out for it!

Skribble · 03/04/2007 22:24

Tee hee isn't it so funny when my kids get cat shit all over them when playing on MY grass and MY plants die when they are dug up.

Oh its so nice to have a cat and let it out without the slightest concern about what it gets up too.... If it is your pet, it is your responsibility.

2shoesonanegghunt · 03/04/2007 22:25

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe but surely I shouldn't have to put up with them

OP posts:
PeachesMcLean · 03/04/2007 22:25

I know you can't keep them under control, I do like their independence, just not when they're being independent in my garden.

Hi powder! I wore the linen jacket with a black top and a new pair of grey trousers. Looked very smart and proper - Dominiconnor would have approved. It must have worked, I got offered the job! Aaaaargh, Now I'm really bricking it!

2shoesonanegghunt · 03/04/2007 22:26

how did that kill the cat?

OP posts:
powder28 · 03/04/2007 22:30

Congratulations. Did you use the following words and sentence during your interview

'multitask' 'prioritising' '110 percent' and 'i work well in a team or on my own'

powder28 · 03/04/2007 22:31

I think the spong expanded in teh cats throat.

Dont go getting any ideas about killing cats now....

PeachesMcLean · 03/04/2007 22:31

2shoes don't get any ideas now.... DH claims he once killed one by putting some sort of cleaning chemical on a bit of chicken carcass that had been pulled out of a bin bag. we never saw it again - though it was a seriously scraggy looking thing on its last legs - I hope he didn't really kill it, I'm not proud.

PeachesMcLean · 03/04/2007 22:34

Well powder I certainly didn't tell them my husband likes to kill cats, that's for sure!

But how do you keep them out of the garden without going to such lengths?

can understand the annoyance but really killing them is horrible. especially by poisoning - or with a sponge, the cat would have died slowly as it struggled to breathe.

My cans appear to never leave my garden (I have enough difficulty getting them to leave my house ), but I do understand how frustrating it is whenstrange cats come in.

2shoesonanegghunt · 03/04/2007 22:37

i would never kill a cat.... y darling staffie died cos he ate something he shouldn't had and it was horrible.
but can I throw rotton eggs at them

Not sure, there is that stuff called 'get off my garden' or 'get down my path'
Just have one of those super soakers on hand for when they are 'peering thru your window' Get the buggers right between the eyes. Cats arent keen on water.
