amputee asked to show his bus pass surely ther point of having a disabled bus pass is so that you show it?

driver was rude, yes agree. but doesnt everyone have to hsow their pass? even if the disability is obvious? otherwise whats the point?

lol HM, dh did that one. he had it in his jacket pcoket, little old ladies getting all pursed lips and he says loyudly 'have you got my badge misdee?' 'no' 'oh it must be here somehwre' cue lots of rummaging in his pockets 'oh here it is' and slowly plonks it down.

i'm trying not to wet myself getting the kids out of the car as the old ladies look away hurridly.

so why do the disabled get free buss travel? does anyone know? after all I thought the mobility component was essentially to cover travel costs that the person wouldn't have to pay out if they didn't have a disability.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be entitled, just wondering why they are.

I can see reason for blue badges in most instances as obviously for some it's harder to walk the greater distances if forced to park across the other side of the car park. That being said I am entitled to a blue badge and I am no less capable of walking across a car park than anyone else - in fact I walk everywhere so it seems silly for me to have one (I don't have one btw).

I still think the man in the artacle was unreasonable, and the driver was just doing his job although I do know some drivers who are just miserable because they can be.

Driver probably went home to his cup of Horlicks .
