Can't bear the man. Bad interviewer. Vile to his wife on This Morning. Smug. Self important.

I've probably spelt his name wrong but I CBA to Google him for the correct spelling. Why is he still on telly? 😠😡😤

Put on the blacklist.

Stupid phone.

He comes across as a hormonal teenager, a bit oo-er missus, I imagine he laughs at the word 'poo'.

Harmless enough but he's very wet and I do wonder what Ruth sees in him, physically he's a man but his personality and mannerisms are that of a young boy and I can't see what she finds a turn on, it seems a bit incestuous, more mother and son than husband and wife.

VanillaSugar · 03/09/2017 10:23

She did get a high profile presenting career out of him

Well I preferred Richard and Judy back in the day when they were quite hot! I remember weeping on the sofa with a new born ds1 in 1989 and feeling Judy was my only friend Grin

Eamonn is ok and I like Ruth. Absolutely love Rylan. He's so funny. Can't do Christine sorry it's her accent. So harsh.

RockyBird · 03/09/2017 11:07

I love Rylan too. I'll watch a show purely because he's in it. It's funny because on paper he shouldn't be as likeable as he is (comedy entry on X factor).

heartstornastray · 03/09/2017 11:20

I agree, Rylans lovely. Warm, funny, witty, he never talks down to people, very very watchable, we need to see more of him and less of the Philip Scofield overload.

VladmirsPoutine · 03/09/2017 11:57

Yanbu. He's the very definition of a twat.

Doobydoo · 03/09/2017 12:46

I am silly! Grin

Whiterabbitears · 03/09/2017 17:16

He is awful to his wife, he's always making snarky digs at her and then there's an awkward silence while she tries to smile or carry on. I find watching them together really uncomfortable. I think he comes across as sneery but I like Ruth.

Love Rylan he is so self deprecating and funny !

Mama234 · 03/09/2017 18:04

I think he's lovely

Auntiedahlia · 03/09/2017 18:29

I love the Jon Culshaw sketches, with Eammon being 'fierce hungry' and eating a jockey and a sofa. Can't link to them sadly.

The running joke was removed from series two after EH expressed his hurt to the beeb. I don't mind him having complained, same as if they had done the same to Vanessa. There's no need to use words like "fatso": his weight has fuck all to do with his presenting.
(And I'm not a fan. But Ruth seems very happy with him.)

sall74 · 03/09/2017 18:56

Never seen that National Lottery clip before... that was pure Partridge!

treaclesoda · 03/09/2017 19:27

No matter what you think of Eamonn Holmes, that Jon Culshaw impression of him is a) terrible, because he doesn't sound anything like him and b) really cruel.

He might well be an arse, and there is plenty of evidence pointing towards that, but mocking someone's weight struggles is just nasty.

anotherniceday · 03/09/2017 20:01

Kim Woodburn rocks!

Love love loved Richard and Judy.
I only watch The Wright Stuff when either Richard or Anne Diamond is on.
Mathew is so rude to callers he doesn't agree with. It's put me right off him.

Amanduh · 03/09/2017 20:13

I love him, and Ruth. They're hilarious. Would rather him than smarmy smug schofield on my tv!

Cary2012 · 03/09/2017 20:31

I haven't watched TM since Cool dude floppy fringed Richard and shaking hands Judy presented it. There was a daft bloke jumping around on a real floating map of the UK, and that dishy bloke married to Fern-I-haven't-had-a-gastric-band-fitted Britton, used to stir fry something groovy on a Friday.

Those were the days.

liverbird10 · 04/09/2017 00:53

He's an obnoxious halfwit.

Worse than that - he's a Man Utd fan.

Off with his head!

thatmummy · 04/09/2017 02:14

A few years ago Eamon and Ruth interviewed one of my lovely friends and her husband about a very tragic event that happened to them, it was a very emotional interview. Recently the subject came up again and Ruth was talking about it saying she had never heard of it happening before, err what? How can you interview a couple about such a massive thing and then flippantly say she's never heard of it before?
Rant over...I don't like either of them so yanbu.
Sorry I can't say what it was as it's not my business to tell, but it was something that if you spoke to someone about it, it would stay with you for life Sad

I really do think they were in a relationship behind EH's wife's back and they had young children - EH and wife.
If they can do that to family, they can easily forget about the trauma suffered by strangers.
I may be wrong but I think EH went to London to try to further his career ( and succeeded) while his wife stayed with the children in Northern Ireland.
