To think that somebody must know the sick evil **** who has been killing people's cats

So some sick twisted evil * * has been taking people's cats and killing them and returning their bodies with parts missing. I won't rant on about it as it is just awful but surely someone must have noticed a family member or neighbour acting oddly or seen some evidence of what the sick b..... has been doing. I just don't understand how this can have been happening for so long. Sad

It could still be him. The cats aren't necessarily found at the same time they are killed and, according to google, Hooley to West Wickham is only 28 minutes drive so definitely doable.

Sad I live near to where a cat was found recently. I try to keep my own cats inside after about 8pm. I saw a lovely friendly cat when I was out the other evening and I stopped to give it a stroke. Then I realised I shouldn't be encouraging it to trust people it didn't know.

I also feel a bit nervous myself walking the streets after dark. How long until the victims become human?

Caprianna · 03/09/2017 15:38

I don't understand with so many killings his car cannot be picked up using CCTV. If he had killed humans he would have been caught by now. I am not comparing cat killings to human killings, but yes its worrying what happens next if he is not stopped. Incredibly creepy and disturbing and I think more police resources should be dedicated to this operation.

I also agree I think Hooley is quite near to South Croydon which in turn isn't far from West Wickham I think. UGhh its just so horrible. I'm trying to make sure mine are in when it's dark but it's going to be horrible for them when the nights start drawing in. I wonder if he's deliberately avoiding houses with cctv. I also don't understand how does he actually know who the cats belong to? Most cats don't just stay in their own gardens do they? That's awful and how creepy looking in people's gardens with a torch.

I think that the cats are placed quite close to where they are collected from, so not necessarily back at the owners house.

West Wickham would only be about 10
mins away from Croydon.

I always find it shocking when police aren't interested in this kind of thing. Surely it's only a matter of time before they start killing people

lizzieoak · 03/09/2017 22:05

But the police are interested. They've set up a special task force,
Operation Takahe, to deal with it.

mowglik · 03/09/2017 22:52

Capriana I was wondering that too - so many killings, they must be able to use CCTV to see him when he is dumping the bodies in some cases?? Any reason why they haven't tried this?

I'm worried for my parents cats Sad although no attacks in their area yet.

Radio interview here:

You can find it about 1.44.28

This will answer some of the questions above.

Just because there have not been any killings reported in an area does not mean there have not been any. Many people are still unaware. Every time it is mentioned on a forum there are people who say they didn't know about it. Those who had cats killed didn't know about it.

scrivette · 04/09/2017 07:51

CCTV is being checked locally but so far he has managed to avoid it.

Most people in residential areas (myself included) who have CCTV only have it covering their driveways/own property so would miss what's going out in the street.

More cats killed in the last few days. And a new video.
