McDonald's breakfast - WHATS THE BIG DEAL?

I had my first ever McDonald's breakfast today as I was very early for DS hospital appointment .. I tried a sausage and egg mcmuffin and pancake .. I was so excited to try it as I have heard so many good things about McDonald's breakfast but I personally didn't think it didn't taste very nice ... I was very disappointed and hungry!

Did I ask for the wrong thing? I was the only one in McDonald's at the time when I ordered and didn't want to seem seem like I didn't know what I was doing ( I was clueless!) ! So i "confidently" asked the first thing I could see on the menu!

Re what time do 24hr maccys stop serving day menu? I was in one at 4:30 this morning and they were still serving normal menu.
I was pleased as I don't like the breakfasts and the alcohol was wearing off and I needed a quarter pounder and a milkshake

If memory serves, day menu is 10:30am until 05:30am. Then of course breakfast is 05:30-10:30.

No, I don't go to Mcs often (seriously), I just happen to know.

I love a McDonald's breakfast. I have in the past though made McMuffins at home. i also do a mean line in homemade KfC zinger tower burgers

I have only ever had the muffins once (limp,chewy and shite) and the coffee which was undrinkable and went in the bin after two mouthfuls.

I won't be back.

The trick with McDonald's coffee is don't get the slop included in the brekkers meal deal.

Pay a little extra and get a latte, they're delish.

Hashbrowns and a thickshake. Always. I never deviate from that path.

For those who want clarification, day menu is 10:30am til 5am.

Ive never eaten one but my husband has. He says its nice but the egg looked like rubber! How is it cooked and how is it a perfect circle shape. The sausage part is it a sausage burger ? I thought looked yucky but dont really like mcdonalds apart from Fries. Do you like mcdonalds normally as if not im guessing you wont like their breakfast.

Off now to get get double sausage and egg Mcmuffin breakfast B4 walking dogs....bring it on.....

I used to work there and loved a double sausage and egg muffin, or a snack wrap with brown sauce. Hungry now.

Yanbu. It is completely rank. Plastic textured, awful flavoured, made me think of toy food.
And everyone knows the best hangover cure is a can of Irn Bru and a home made fryup or a square sausage roll.

I hate maccies breakfast. The sausage tastes disgusting. I had one bite and had to spit it out and I'm a greedy cow who hates wasting food. I much prefer a greggs bacon roll.

Double sausage and egg muffin minus the egg with a hash brown. I craved them when I was pregnant and haven't had one since I just ate too many!

They are disgusting, can't think of anything worse on a hangover! Infact imagining those freakishly perfect circles of egg is making me want to vomit. Don't even think about going back for the bacon roll, that's if they still do them. Remind me of ingrown toenails.

Thankyou everyone I am tempted to put a McDonald's breakfast on hold for a while now! Lol at least I can say I tried one!

I forgot how nice Frosties taste! I know it's not me best breakfast but I had some this morning and I am sure they are much better than a McDonald's Breakfast meal! lol
