McDonald's breakfast - WHATS THE BIG DEAL?

I had my first ever McDonald's breakfast today as I was very early for DS hospital appointment .. I tried a sausage and egg mcmuffin and pancake .. I was so excited to try it as I have heard so many good things about McDonald's breakfast but I personally didn't think it didn't taste very nice ... I was very disappointed and hungry!

Did I ask for the wrong thing? I was the only one in McDonald's at the time when I ordered and didn't want to seem seem like I didn't know what I was doing ( I was clueless!) ! So i "confidently" asked the first thing I could see on the menu!

Hash browns ARE gorgeous.

That said I don't like the muffins. Far prefer the breakfast wrap with the hash brown on the side

The kids like pancakes with the pork sausage patty thing.

Unfortunately where I am now they don't sell the wrap and I have to make do with an overly salty mcmuffin, and the pancakes aren't offered with the meat, so the kids have a hash brown instead.

I'm a bit of a foodie and I LOVE sausage and egg mcmuffins. There is nothing else like them in the whole world. They are by far the very best thing McDs does. The hash browns are too greasy and you can get better ones as oven food.

The coffee is awful, however.

Breakfast wrap and a latte before any morning hospital appointment. Can't get one before dd6 next admission as she is fasting before MRI and lumber puncture under GA and we will be in accomadation across the road.

I like greggs coffe and bacon sandwich deal for. £2.25 in Lndon thats a steal.

Is there a Greggs or something near GOSH where I can run and get something once dd6 goes under? I think I'll have a 45min window.

I do like them. But like you, it took me years to get around to getting my first one. After they had been bigged up for so long, I was a little let down but will have them still every now and again.

OH, however, was less than enthused, only had one and vowed never again.

All food from McDonalds is shit.

I like the coffee. The bacon rolls are pretty good too.

Isn't GOSH near Russell Sq.? Sure there will be loads of Prets/Costas/ Café Neros etc around there.

Thank you. I usually walk from kings cross so never venture down Russell square way. I don't fancy the hospital cafe food. Would rather leave the hospital for air.

McDonalds is not food in my opinion it is over processed crap full of additives and preservatives with virtually no nutritional value whatsoever. Was'nt there a Kaf nearby where you could have got a fried breakfast for almost the same price?

Re what time do 24hr maccys stop serving day menu? I was in one at 4:30 this morning and they were still serving normal menu.
I was pleased as I don't like the breakfasts and the alcohol was wearing off and I needed a quarter pounder and a milkshake.

Breakfast wrap with ketchup and a hash brown on the side. Perfect when you have an early start and a busy day ahead. Also fan of a bacon roll (which ketchup), though could eat about three in one go!

Has to be a breakfast wrap. And I'm another that likes the coffee, I've had much worse!

I preferred the big Breakfast meal with the scrambled egg. Gutted when they stopped those.

LOADS of places to eat near GOSH. You'll be spoiled for choice!

There is no big deal.

I read of talk of a McDonalds strike at some branches. If it goes ahead it could be the first one where I applaud.
