I'm actually now extremely concerned about this storm. It looks like it's been hard to forecast, it's rather worse than predicted and it is going to hang around til Wednesday or so, slowly decaying. Its close on as bad as it gets.

pain that thread about Arpaio is horrifying. I read the link about the paraplegic man and I am so upset. Doctors and lawyers aren't helping him even now because they don't want to tangle with Arpaio.

Fortunately Houston is out of the worst of it, though being hit by the outer rain bands. I just had a quick look at Corpus Christi, the main worry. Population 440,000, low lying. Not good. I really hope they managed to get most people out.
