Date with a guy from online dating tonight.
Originally the plan was to come over to my town (20 min from him) and go to beach /couple of drinks,now he is saying after the beach go to his town for drinks.
I said why? It's going to be a hassle for nothing.
He is insisting ..
I can't help but think the thinks if he gets me drunk near to him il go back to his place with him.
What do you reckon?
I want to stay in familiar surroundings first date

all sounds fine to me, be aware and alert, its a date no need for any real alarm. however just say, first date... lets keep to original plan, stay in home town where you have 'escape' route and tell hm maybe next time (if there is a next time) you could go to his town.

Hi guys-sorry I didn't check back in I was getting ready and then went straight on the date.
He was actually a nice guy,totally different in person.
Stayed in my town,it was too cold for beach and windy so went to pub BUT I don't fancy him in the slightest.
We got on so well but for me no sexual attraction.
With my ex I immediately had that excited butterfly feeling but no not last night.
He asked for a second date,which I think il try (because you never know) but I don't think it's going to do anywhere unfortunately but on the plus side he wasn't a creep /loony

I think if a guy is expecting sex on the very first date,it is definitely not a good sign,never mind any of the other stuff.

So happy that your date was a pleasant evening. However, I think that it's way too much to expect meeting a stranger after texts to totally make you get all loved up.

I do know someone though who on first sight knew he was the one! She did say his style of communication previous to the meet up was so lovely and it turns out he and she had an instant attraction. She thinks they are the exception to the rule.
