Do you let your kids sing at the top of their voices outside at 7.30am?

No? Me neither.
Sadly the family in tent next to us does. All other tents are zipped up with people trying to sleep. Why are some people so clueless?

Oh no! We're off camping on Friday and I'm already saying to my children that we need to practice being quiet, playing quiet games and doing quiet things in the mornings!

I sympathise but I also don't think 7.30 is early, especially on an outdoorsy holiday like camping.

Sounds like you have met my neighbours. They let their older child out very earlier to make noise. They have brought their crying baby out in the garden at 5am. Kersher pressure washer 7am on a Sunday. Could go on.
They are on holiday at the moment to get away from us mean people who complain

There is always someone, I always wait to see who explodes first - it's usually a couple in their 60's and a very entertaining row breaks out Grin
I had teenagers next to me at Cropredy once, trance music or something blaring out 24 hours a day.

Only when my obnoxious neighbours had theirs out screaming at 1am along with several other kids who were at the party. To be fair though, that means only 5 out of every 7 nights!

It's my first and last experience of camping....

European site so most people are up later in the evening, entertainment goes on till midnight and these pitches are so near the bar there's little choice but to go to bed late. Kids aren't running around the tents tho, they're in the play area by the bar. Only go back to tent to sleep.

It's not my thing but we've embraced the go to bed later , get up later thing like most others seem to have. Nothing is open before 9am here and until today no one was up and about earlier.

These tents are huge with kitchens, bathrooms etc so it's not as though there isn't space inside too. I wouldn't let dd outside in the garden to sing loudly on a Sunday morning at home before 9am.

How awful. Some people have no manners, holiday or not that is way too early to be noisy.

That is much to early to be out and making a lot of noise.
We used to do these sort of camping holidays when our children were younger.
Nobody made a lot of noise at that time of morning.

Think someone French might have asked them to keep it down, boys now whining why he can't sing. I think they're just clueless.

Ds1 has just headed into our garden with bubble mixture and is loudly conversing with DH as to bubble quality. They both think this is fine. I do not,and have said so. It happens anyway.

I feel bad for the neighbours, but only a bit as they wake us up with their music and loud sex noises...

How on earth does anyone 'keep' their children quiet until 9? Mine just won't fucking shut up no matter how many quiet games I try to play or how many books/activities I pack. You'd need a fucking gag (which I am willing to consider).

I'm am hyper noise sensitive and can never understand how other people can be so selfish. There's a kid across the road from me - well his grandparents live across the road. They have him from early morning until late at night during school time and right throughout the holidays. He bounces out of bed, first thing every morning and spends the WHOLE day kicking his casey relentlessly against the house and gate. I pray for rain a lot as it's the only thing that drives him inside. Sometimes gormless Uncle joins him - which is always a treat

I recently house-sat for some friends and the only noise I heard waking up each morning or sitting outside was birdsong. Imagine my joy, literally as I arrived back home, to hear the thumping of the football as the latest Easyjet went by overhead (I'm under a flgiht-path) and the scrap metal van drove down the cul-de-sac screaming "bring out your scrap metal, we recycle all scrap metal". For extra shits and giggles some new neighbours moved in while I was away and they have two whippety looking mutts. I found out the next day that they let them out at 5.30am daily where they proceed to bark and whine.

For someone whose dream is to live in a remote cottage on a loch it's not the ideal place to inhabit.

In short, I feel your pain.

Most UK campsites have rules about that sort of thing and, being British, most people observe them.

It would really piss me off if I was camping and someone let their kids make that sort of racket at silly o'clock.

I feel your pain. One of my neighbours with an adjoining garden does very loud performance parenting with her toddler at 6.30 am in the garden including weekends. I have been known to threaten Incy wincy flipping spider with a blow torch while trying to push earplugs deeper and get another hour of badly needed sleep.

Not ok, our neighbours think it's ok for their kids to scream in the street all day and then the adults all meet up at around 11pm every evening in the street to shout, smoke and make tonnes of noise right outside our bedroom window so some people have no fucking manners!

We are frequent campers and you get this occasionally but it's only ever one or two selfish families.
The same in hotels, there's always some berk who goes for breakfast at 7.30 and let's their kid run down the corridor screeching!
In one hotel in Paris they'd obviously let them go out and play in the corridor while they got ready/relaxed. I was not the only one who opened my door to say something!
