Mystery box in loft

Recently we bought a new house and I jokingly said about finding treasure up in the loft, sent DP up there to have a look and low and behold...a single box (see attached pic).

At the time I was 39 weeks pregnant and as it was only us 2 in the house at the time we decided it was for the best that he didn't go walking around on the dodgy looking boards to go see what was in the box.

Since then we've had DD and the box has remained up there forgotten until reading the safe thread just reminded me!

Can anyone make out what it says on the box, or recognises the markings on it? DP is reluctant to go up there on his own and look because of the spiders and ghosts structural integrity of the boards, so I'm trying to persuade him to get a friend round to help!

Do you know who owned the house previous to you? I reckon it's a porn stash 😂

How can you not have dragged that down by now? I'd have had that down the first day.

Er, you do know that's not really how it works, don't you? You don't have to pass some adulting test down at the Ministry of Parenthood in order to be issued with a conception licence.

Ok...sorry guys this one was rubbish. DP has even apologised to all of mumsnet for the disappointment but there was nothing in it

The newspaper is just lining the box and the most exciting thing about it was the 25% off in Carpetland.

Apparently on the other side of the box is said something about assorted candles and plates so yep, just an unexciting old packing crate!
