... whisper out of the window, 'I can see you!' in the creepiest voice I can manage?

In serious, heard the side gate swing a couple of minutes ago so had a glance out of the window. Fairly certain it's the neighbour from a few doors down but it doesn't look like her husband.

DH (who isn't here) thinks I should ring the police non-emergency. I think it's harmless (unless it is an affair but I'm not 100% it is her - there's been an event on at the pub at the end of our road but she'd have had to walk past her house to get to mine) but I don't think they mean any harm to us.

What would you do?

I don't find this at all amusing. I would go and drive them out with a broomstick. Or better still, a garden fork.

imacmum · 14/08/2017 23:00

Can't believe there's so many people from Suffolk on here. Me too!

Purplealienpuke · 15/08/2017 06:43

I'd have been tempted to sing loudly 'my milkshake bring all the whores to the yard' ....
I'd agree with letting her poor husband know. Maybe send a letter enclosing a copy of the picture & leaflet for the local GUM clinic. Involving your neighbours in your nastiness is never okay 😝

JanKind · 15/08/2017 08:25

Get that hose out. What a slapper

EyeRollChampion · 15/08/2017 09:50

I don't know why I'm still on mumsnet. CFNs never get the hose, do they? So frustrating.

I guess you're all just far nicer than me GrinHalo

BabychamSocialist · 15/08/2017 13:24

EyeRollChampion

I've turned the hose on DP and the kids at times when they're annoying me and sometimes just for fun, so I'd be happy to join your club!

TheMerryWidow1 · 15/08/2017 13:42

ha I would have to pop round and see her, couldn't let that go and remind her she owes you a packet of wet wipes!!!!

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 15/08/2017 14:07

Suffolk here too and I know the town you are referring to (and I agree, Woodbridge is lovely). My partner thinks Suffolk is quaint and sleepy, little does he know...

SherbrookeFosterer · 15/08/2017 17:48

When I was a student I once "sat on my bfs lap" in a photobooth in the middle of Victoria station.

I still have two of the pictures.

It is was a bit naughtier than running through fields of wheat, let's say!

Spottychangemat · 15/08/2017 19:12

For everyone saying she's wasted police time, she hasn't. She felt vulnerable and panicked about ringing but has chosen to now. Even if the police didn't attend the address, any offences would have to be crimed as it is reported. If it wasn't a police matter, they likely would have said so.

Also, if she had thrown water on them, if they then chose to report that OP would have been guilty of assault.

Just because you wouldn't ring does not mean OP was wrong in doing so.

suzy2b · 15/08/2017 20:09

maybe they have an open marriage

PointlessUsername · 15/08/2017 21:25

Have you seen her since op?

Elephant17 · 15/08/2017 21:31

Wonder what will happen when police go over!

LadyRoughDiamond · 15/08/2017 22:01

Ooh hello, there are more Suffolk people on here than I realised! I'm about 10 mins outside Woodbridge.
heads out to lock gate

nomorebabiesyet · 15/08/2017 22:13

I really dont understand why you didnt go out there and tell them to bugger off! One its trespassing. Two kids could have seen/heard. Three its just not right amd four you are basically condoningher affair and possibly let her think she can do this regularly in your garden!

mumof3boys33 · 16/08/2017 10:34

I live in Suffolk too. That sort of thing wouldn't go on round here. It's too boring for such goings on. It's mostly retired couples anyway 😂😂

AVY1 · 17/08/2017 17:39

Hello! I didn't think anyone had been back.

Yes PCSO has been to see her but i don't know what was said etc. (DH saw them knocking)

I also haven't seen her but both her and her husbands cars are still on the drive.

I did arrive home two days ago to a plant on my front step and an 'I'm so sorry' note. There wasn't a name but I can only assume it was her.

I've put a second lower bolt on the gate so it can now only be opened from the back garden.

@Disinterested no not from Kesgrave but I did live there for 8 months many, many moons ago.

leanneth · 17/08/2017 20:28

@AVY1 Thanks for updating- I'd been wondering what had happened!
How odd- a plant?! To put in your garden to remind you of her?! Eww.....!

liquidrevolution · 17/08/2017 21:04

So her husband was there when the police went round?

IloveBanff · 18/08/2017 00:17

The most bizarre thing is that you threw them a pack of baby wipes! I would have been out there like a shot, telling them to leave my property immediately or I'd call the police, not sodding thrown them baby wipes.
I admit that I can't help wondering what happened when the police went round there though.

Andrewofgg · 18/08/2017 05:40

Andrew Lloyd Webber loud enough that they can't ignore it.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 18/08/2017 06:40

If only you had played "I wanna do it with you" by Barry Manilow at full blast. Perfect soundtrack to their shenanigans.

AtHomeDadGlos · 18/08/2017 07:13

The plant isn't pampas grass is it?!

Raindancer411 · 18/08/2017 13:42
