I agree with you testing would be the most sensible thing to do Hipster.
But in this case nobody else had taken anything only alcohol, and said friend went to the toilet and came back with three tablets she had bought off some random guy. So it was a spur of the moment thing, we didn't even know she was thinking of buying any till she came back with them.

twattymctwatterson · 13/08/2017 20:22

Seriously the come down from MDMA is hard enough at 22

Goodadvice1980 · 13/08/2017 20:37

So many happy memories of clubbing in those days! Only get to go dancing infrequently now Sad

I live on Kent so if anyone fancies meeting up and clubbing let me know GrinGrinGrin

Rowgtfc72 · 13/08/2017 21:12

Was at uni in the 90s. Nearly went to the Hacienda one night.
Would go clubbing again in an instant. (Avoiding Diamond White though 😵

Are you sure it's not a comedown from staying up all night drinking and dancing? Do you keep hydrated? Are you generally unfit?

I still do MDMA well into my 30s and if you do it at home, leave sufficient gaps (i.e. months) between indulging and don't mix it with booze then the comedown is barely noticeable. Sometimes I'll be a little blue for a day or two afterwards but I get that after a lot of alcohol too.

If you're experiencing unbearable comedowns at 22 then you must be doing something wrong, or maybe the drug just doesn't sit well with you. You're in the first flush of youth!

Ooh Cuppa and MsRinky there are a few of us here.. how w citing. In reality it is just me and DD9 so am wondering about parking her in a big top, with sleeping bags, earplugs and those industrial ear defenders. I will probably wimp out fearing the social and be in bed by 11pm every night. I SO want to do Jon Hopkins tho... she may have to just keep going for that one :D

Ragusa · 14/08/2017 22:35

I mean listen to Jon Hopkins, not do him, ahem.

Freckles1978 · 14/08/2017 22:53

I loved the dance scene in Liverpool. Went to the 051, the state, cream, the drome (in birkenhead) and then further to Manchester and Leeds. I'd love to go back in time for just one more night. I'm 39 now and still love that music and get the shivers when one of 'my tunes comes on the radio

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 15/08/2017 10:37

Freudian slip Ragusa? Grin I'd do Jon Hopkins - have you seen the man?!

My 9yo isn't coming this year but have taken her in the past and basically done what you suggested but in a trolley. We've bought a couple of these which DD was chilling out on (with her ear defenders) when we were at Wilderness the other weekend when it got late, they pack up really small and easy to put up.

Ragusa · 15/08/2017 20:22

Oh yessss. I would so do him Grin . He is vairrr handsome. I also likw Dan Snaith, geek extraordinaire. Thank you for the ideas about the blow up hot dog. Think DD will have to make do with either 2x coke to keep her going or one of our SIMS! So so excited.

ohhelpohnoitsa · 15/08/2017 23:03

Get this DVD, you would love it! I was a Hacienda Friday nighter. LOVED it until the trouble came

Just read that Irvine Welsh is writing a script for a series about the rise of rave culture in the U.K. Looking forward to seeing that.

catlovingdoctor · 15/08/2017 23:35

I'm in my early twenties and don't have any friends who wanna go clubbing 😭 will gladly join!

TripleTurnedWhore · 16/08/2017 18:56

I read this thread so wistfully earlier and necked two diet* pills with an espresso, stuck on some olks acid house tracks and blitzed my house!

*ONLY ADIOS, everybody knows they're useless.

I used to go to the sub club and garage in glasgow, had some briliant night there

Zumarocks · 15/01/2019 22:22

Is anyone on this (old) thread in London or around and fancies a clubbing night in London? Trying to find my people at the age of 40 and get my clubbing life back before it's too late! I have a couple of friends who occasionally come to Ministry of Sound with me but that only happens once or twice a year.

mokapot · 15/01/2019 22:49
