Thank goodness she was OK (physically at least- she'll probably be rather nervous about walking along the pavement now

I wonder if police already have an idea who he is and are giving him the chance to turn himself in

I tried to catch her tripping him up and all I can see is her leg flick outwards, presumably to counterbalance AFTER he's pushed her. It's a split second. And I'm pretty sure the Met would have studied footage using far more sophisticated technology than the pause button on my phone before releasing it without comment on whether she "started it".

He was moving towards her. If she was 'trying to trip him up', there was masses of room where he had just come from and beyond. She was following the path of the man he had just passed with loads of room. Some force

I can't watch this as I find the idea very scary. So many psychopaths around. Whenever I cross the road and reach traffic lights I press the button on the traffic light and then stand well back. All it takes is one nutter to push you into the road. I always feel slightly sick when people stand so close to the tube for the same reason.

Not that I have the best eye sight but I wouldn't say it looks like she tried to trip him up.

The bus driver must have shit himself about nearly hitting her! Poor woman. What a prick that jogger is.

He does seem to run towards her.

I've been physically pushed and manhandled out the way when walking in London before. I had a car crash years ago and walk with a pronounced limp. I usually stick to the very sides of the pavement but there have been several times over the past 20 years or so when I have been physically pushed to one side. (It's always by a very important man in a hurry).

The leg seemed to come out instinctively as/while she was being pushed and begins to fall? I think. I've gone back and paused a couple of times as it happens so quickly.

Kurri I have the same experience with male v's female joggers sadly.

I hope he is caught and given a charge of attempted murder. There is no way she kicked out at him - she would have had to bring her leg BACK then kicked forward... her footing would have been different and a planned kick would have changed that.

This blew my mind earlier today. It's actually mind-boggling.

the way I watch it she doesn't do anything other than walk and then fall after he's pushed her. He also clearly veers towards her before pushing her. That's what makes it so bizarre. It makes it seem like it was premeditated.

Although, the article I read today said that the jogger is on the cctv 15 mins later running back across the bridge in the other direction. that the woman tried to speak to him and he ignored her and ran on. what is doesn't make clear is why she was still hanging around on the bridge. Although I suppose if she was injured and they were waiting for an ambulance or whatnot that would account for it.

So so very weird.

I live in Putney and have to suffer these gits all the time on the embankment. They seem to think that everyone should move out if THEIR way. They are on an effing pavement for god's sake. Just because they are jogging/running does not mean they can flout decent manners and claim the right to barge you out of your way just because they cant deviate of their line. Complete w•••••s! What he did is GBH if not attempted murder. He pushed her!

She was walking very near the curb and had nowhere to move to to get out of his way, yet he had plenty of space on HIS side of the pavement to move to.

It amazes me how utterly mean and cruel some people can be.

There's no way she tried to trip him, and even if she did would she really deserve to be pushed under a bus??

He moves towards her before he pushes her. If he'd carried on running in a straight line she wouldn't even have been in his way

^^ this. There is clearly enough room for them to pass each other. He deliberately turned into her to push her.

I think it looks like he's one of those self-entitled arseholes who think everyone has to step back and let them pass despite the fact there is clearly enough space for people to pass each other (as is shown by the guy that walks past him )

If you look at the line of the shadow along the pavement the woman is slowly moving towards the roadside as she walks along whereas he is making no attempt to go towards the wall side at all.

At the point he pushes her there is a vast space to his left (our right) but only a narrow gap between the woman and the road. Where the hell did he expect her to go??

She had nowhere else to go except under the bus - he had a whole massive, wide pavement.
