Who pushed that woman over into the path of a bus.

What a complete and utter wanker - who the hell does that?

Thank goodness she was OK (physically at least- she'll probably be rather nervous about walking along the pavement now Sad

I wonder if he actually did hope to kill her, had perhaps wondered if he could time it to look like an accident. It seems so purposeful. I worry about this kind of thing (silly I know) waiting for trains/tubes on crowded platforms. Awful for the woman.

LineysRun · 08/08/2017 16:28

Aztec I think you may be right.

This may be a very dangerous individual.

MeanAger · 08/08/2017 16:28

He absolutely veers towards her. There must be a history or something. I wonder if he believes her to have slighted him on a previous run or something. I assume she doesn't know him so can't ID him.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:29

I can't believe all the people on Twitter trying to excuse him.

problembottom · 08/08/2017 16:30

Having watched it a few times, his actions look premeditated rather than "pavement rage"... scary stuff.

LifeIsGooed · 08/08/2017 16:31

looks more like she had the temerity to not move out of his way

There was enough room for him to go slightly left. She didn't have to move. It wasn't a narrow path, quite a widening actually.

MeanAger · 08/08/2017 16:32

I have watched it again and again. He lowers his arms from the jogging swing well before she was near him, before she has even lifted her leg (to step forward) watch his arms. He prepares his arms to assault her before he is even close enough to touch her.

HappyAxolotl · 08/08/2017 16:32

AztecHero

"I am not sure if I am seeing this,or imagining it. In the footage I see the jogger pulling the woman with his arm closest to her and smacking/pushing her with the other. So a pull and hit motion.

Can anyone else see it,or am I delusional?"

Watching the video again, I think you are right. From the direction the woman falls, she doesn't go straight over sideways but swivels round and falls on her back. It is hard to see their upper bodies but it does look as if the runner pulls or holds her left shoulder as he hits her right side.

As if shoving her wasn't horrible enough, this is even more calculated.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:33

What would a potential charge for this be? Attempted manslaughter? GBH?

Tokelau · 08/08/2017 16:33

That bus driver deserves a medal for their quick response.

I can't believe that they haven't caught this man. Someone must recognise him.

It's so random, it does make me wonder if he was after her personally. He definitely veered towards her, yet ignored the man in front of her.

problembottom · 08/08/2017 16:33

Ah, see a couple of people above agree with me! Hope they catch him but footage isn't amazing quality is it. Surprised there are no better grabs available, there must be loads of CCTV on that busy route.

TinyRick · 08/08/2017 16:34

I can't believe all the people on Twitter trying to excuse him

Unfortunately I can. Men's violence is always excused away.

LurkingHusband · 08/08/2017 16:34

It reminds me of that cyclist that knocked down a teenage girl crossing a road at a pedestrian crossing. He had time to shout, "I'm not stopping for you" or something equally arseholey, but she didn't hear

MeanAger · 08/08/2017 16:34

Could he have been trying to steal her handbag? Is there a bag on her left shoulder?

Oblomov17 · 08/08/2017 16:35

Blimey. Just blimey!

SnickersWasAHorse · 08/08/2017 16:35

This is the moment before he pushes her. I see one foot in front of the other.

Even if she did go to trip him up she shouldn't be pushed under a fucking bus for it.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 08/08/2017 16:35

I see so much injustice everyday, the world is deeply misogynistic and I wonder why people can't see it. then this happens, a woman clearly shoved into the path of bus and people still make excuses, still defend him. No wonder the world is so full of male violence, people make excuses for it. when a man murders his family the press report what a lovely guy he was, or that he must have "snapped."

Utter bollocks, men need to stop hurting women and people need to stop making excuses for these wankers.

LurkingHusband · 08/08/2017 16:38

Surely there's an inherent priority on the footpath ?

  1. the less able (wheelchairs) and very young (pushchairs)
  2. the younger and smaller (infants)
  3. regular pedestrians
  4. joggers . . . 1,000,000) cycles (who should be in the road) ????

Each should give way to the preceding, and so on. (A little like steam gives way to sail on water).

TinyRick · 08/08/2017 16:38

Yes Damn. That's what I was getting at.

TinyRick · 08/08/2017 16:41

This and the poor woman murdered for not cooking dinner for her husband...just the ones I have read today.

Fuck's sake. When will people wake up?

ZefStar · 08/08/2017 16:41

What an absolute prick he is. She didn't try and trip him, she's just walking. He actually runs deliberately into her, he had the the whole pavement to himself, she was right on the edge and it just wasn't enough room for his super ego.
If I'm out jogging I generally take the view that the fastest moving individual on the pavement should make way for others, I'll always give a walker plenty of room. This guys a total cock. I came across a similarly entitled cock a couple of years ago, I was walking past the door of a bank and he decided to ram his pushchair into my heels as I was 'in the fucking way', still gives me the rage

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:42

It's the casual way he does it as though he's brushing a fly from his face. And just keeps on running without a backward look. I bet he has a partner at home, I wonder how she (or he) will view him after this. Surely they'll recognise him.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 08/08/2017 16:42

If you watch the video but pause it a few times as it happens, while keeping your eyes on her legs, it looks very clear to me that she's walking normally (legs actually look very close together, almost one hidden behind the other as she steps forward which may be part of the reason for the confusion) but her coat flaps out to the side which is probably being mistaken for her leg. Look at the dark coat vs. pale legs. Absolutely not tripping him up. I do hope they catch the scumbag.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 08/08/2017 16:42

They will wake up when they start giving a shit about girls and women.

Ps TinyRick, cool name Rick and Morty?
