Toddzilla Thread 2 - No Toddlers at the hen do please!

Quick summary:
Organising friend's hen do. All booked and paid for, sorted. Two weeks prior a friend attending, hereby known as Demanding Woman, tells me she will be bringing her toddler and DP along as toddler has tantrums that DP can't handle and won't sleep without her there. She will also require a private room now in the converted barn we are staying in, despite everyone agreeing to share etc.

A whatsapp exchange ensues with myself declaring that no this will no be happening and Demanding Woman getting very shirty. Demanding Woman takes it to bride who also shuts it down. So far Demanding Woman is still attending hen do in less than two weeks but is now trying to take control of hen do in terms of games/food/drink etc.

We now have a whole minibus of Mumsnetters, Toddlers, Toddler-eating-dogs, Elephants, hamsters, moody teenagers all planning to attend with boxes of popcorn to take over barn and avidly watch my first meeting with Demanding Woman which I'm definitely not completely and utterly dreading

I'm not sure I will have any further updates for a bit but I promise if there are any further mad details to be had, you will be the first to know.

Sounds like the Bride is going to have to revoke DW's invitation to the Wedding because she is most definitely going to bring her toddler daughter no doubt bedecked out as bridesmaid!

Hi all, not sure i've caught up properly. I'm shattered!

someone asked what DW does - she's some kind of make up rep for a company called Unique, she was trying to sell stuff to the hen party in our chat when we first set it up but nobody went for it. She was quite pushy about that so we shouldn't have been surprised really. I think she works from home so maybe she can get away with behaving like a lunatic in her professional life as well as shes not in an office!

I will see if i can find out more details about the argument when i was a asleep, when i speak to bride again - we tried not to focus on it too much for the rest of the weekend and bride had a fab time so thank you for all your good wishes :)

yes that's it - I just went back and searched the whatsapp chat. Make up bundles and the like? She said she was make up stylist or something. I didn't look at the links she sent so not 100% sure.

Although it did work out alright in the end, I have decided that I am never organising a hen do EVER AGAIN.

I just fell down a internet rabbit hole reading a blog about an ex Younique seller after reading your reactions. I didn't realise it had such a reputation!!

By the way who is workzilla? Was mentioned upthread.

I will update after wedding if anything happens but I think bride's is going to uninvite her officially so I really really hope that the wedding isn't just lovely and uneventful as that will be awful otherwise.

£10 says she still turns up at the wedding after being uninvited....
