To be annoyed at council waiting times

My council has a 3 week wait for all repairs. The light in my bathroom has gone, it's not a standar bulb so someone from the council has to come to sort it. I have to wait 3 weeks! So I cannot use my bathroom after a certain time, I usually bath my children before bed but won't be able to for 3 weeks. Aibu to think it should be sorted sooner?

There was a piece on the TV about council tenants this morning who said they were treated like 2nd class citizen's. I can see why they feel like that considering some of the attitudes on this thread.

Ive heard it all now. Its a light bulb, change it. (Forgets the nhs clinic where i worked where we had the bulbs but wont allowed to change them due to health and safety and had to wait a week for the handiman to come for the cupboard light....dont get me on that as next time we didnt report it just did it and you know what we survived!!)

I don't think anyone's jealous OP. I think they view you as entitled,feckless, and a moaner.

Have you no means/drive to try fix your own light?
