Okay so I wasn't going to post until I'd had some kind of resolution. However, planning called today to ask if they could access my garden on Friday as they need to do some "further investigation" and have another planning official who will be there to oversee it??

They wouldn't tell me over the phone what it was about (it wasn't Nice Planning Lady, it was someone I hadn't spoken with before)

Thanks pp for the thread title - which coincidentally was very apt!

No sign of CFN/ builders etc.

There's now a sign up saying
NO ENTRY IN TO PRIVATE GARDEN
CONTACT SOLICITORS NAME if you require further information.

@madja ouch! You have my sympathy - did both of mine a few years. I now walk like a little old lady and fall down if I try to run. Every cloud etc!!! Get well soon!

I've just taken my frustration with CFNDN not showing up by cleaning the oven. I am aghast at what this thread has made me do.
But my oven is spanking new sparkling shiny clean.

I can also donate wool to the poncho knitters. Grin

@WhatIsThisWatt - does SpanGran like her new name and superhero status? I'm so happy you are handling all this stress with such aplomb! 🌸🌸🌸

@bookbook
Waves back excitedly Grin Now, lass Grin
"Now" or less often 'Now then' is an East Yorks version of the word Hello or the phrase 'Hello, how are you' usually heard among the more rural population.

SchadenfreudePersonified glad you like the Battlehedgehog, we never look for pets, something just turns up all the time here.
The adolescent hedgehog sat on the terrace a couple of years ago just before xmas, no hoggie shelters available for a good fortnight so he took up temporary residence in a bucket in front of the Aga for the festivities and his fave food was roast chicken.
We have five black cats, (three live indoors,) and one tabby and white who is the rather delinquent partner of one of the ladies who chooses to live outdoors. They have all just turned up on the doorstep, terrace or in the garden, I'm sure there's a secret sign somewhere near my house written in critterese that says "The idiot who lives there will feed you and take care of you, just turn up and wait."

Been lurking since #1 - thought I'd get involved in the flags - oh, and as far as cream tea goes, it does depend on my mood.....
Sometimes jam then cream, sometimes cream then jam. I'm sorry!

Good job work is quiet at the moment - hopefully I can follow tomorrow!

Another Somerset-er here (although not Born & Bred like DH is, I'm an incomer) so here's the Coats of Arms of my home city (Coventry, the one with the heffalump) and my current home, Weston-stupidly-muddy...sorry, super-Mare.

Braeburns greetings fellow Nelsonian. Didn't know we even had a flag until I saw your post and thought 'that looks familiar', turns out you can learn things you never knew you already knew.

mumof3boys33 · 03/08/2017 13:42

I think this is our coat of arms. Didn't really realise there were so many.
