"Feeling blessed".

OP posts:
Beebee7 · 02/08/2017 15:18

@LibertarianLibrarian

"My baby daddy didn't turn up for our lunch date!"

Baby daddy is the father of your child Smile

I also hate many of the things people hate here.

baby daddy - yuk
making memories - yuk
think outside the box,
little man - for a son
little princess - for a daughter
When a man calls me 'mate.' Hmm
'trigger' alert/warning.
feeling blessed
holibobs
nom nom nom.
simples
end of!

And don't get me started on people who post say, a pic of their kids playing on instagram, and put #babies #pink #cycling #learning #summer #pretty #cute #sunny #garden #girls #myworld #mybeatingheart #heaven #precious #perfect #wonderful #blonde #greeneyes #lovetheirpethamster #hadsausagesandwichesforlunch #makingmudpies #growingsofast #mummiesgirls #onthegrass #mayputthetentuplater #cloudsoveryonder #bettergetthebrollies #makingmemories Confused

I have seen people do this!!!

Confused

BTW, What is wrong with 'we are having supper?' Confused

And is it just me, or does anyone else think of a man's willy when someone says 'little man?' Blush

Coffeetasteslikeshit · 02/08/2017 15:20

YANBU. #Feelingblessed makes me want to vomit.

665TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 02/08/2017 15:20

My hubs is amazebobs bless him. He's all like # wuffly and totes 'on it' about holibobs in elevenarife. Shagtastic.
My wee ones have gippy tummies after eating woopsied prawns from sainsbobs. But grampops and ..ah fucking kill me now!

Beebee7 · 02/08/2017 15:22

LOL @665! Grin

Anatidae · 02/08/2017 15:22

Data leveraged to action

I can't even tell you our new tag line because it'd out me totally but it's two words comprising 13 fucking syllables and whomever came out with it should be shot.

Flippetydip · 02/08/2017 15:23

Oh I do sometimes say I am feeling blessed, when I am - but I never use it on social media and never with a hashtag, and in my defence (as someone specified earlier) I am religious - does that excuse me?

MSLehrerin · 02/08/2017 15:29

These give me the pure rage:

Yum/yummy
Nom nom (nom)
Hubby/hubster
Feeling blessed
Chillax/chillaxing
Quality time
Boob used as a verb (saw that for the first time ever this morning on a MN post. My inner grammar geek nearly imploded)
Picky lunch/tea/dinner
Enjoy (used without a following object. See rage at 'boob' used as a verb above)

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 02/08/2017 15:30

omg

I had to come back to this because I've just come across something so awful I have had to kill myself. I am typing this from my grave.

You know all this "my little princess" bullshit? I give you:

prinny

I'm going to have to shoot myself again now. You can all shoot me too. I deserve it for introducing that little - or should I say 'ickle' gah ugh grrrrr - gem to this thread.

Beebee7 · 02/08/2017 15:32

PRINNY, for princess.

I'm done PMSL! Grin

Justwondering1 · 02/08/2017 15:33

"This one" or "these ones" in captions of your children makes me grind my teeth for some reason. E.g. "Having supper with this one".

But it may just be me.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 02/08/2017 15:34

Our hearts are full..........yuck.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 15:36

supper
How can you hate supper?????? Its the best meal of the day.

Makes me cringe when people on fb post on behalf of their kids or pets ...
I have done this but largely because I was trying to dilute my rant about people calling my son a "poor baby" etc for being medically complex and I hoped it might make ppeopleremember he's an a real person not just a pile of medical complexities

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 02/08/2017 15:36

"Boob to sleep" is much worse!

Ugh it really is awful Grin

Lil Man
Lil Princess
Ickle
Pickle as in my little pickle referring to child
Preggy/preggers
Famalam
Haters - they are just people who dislike you, not haters
Baby daddy/baby mama
Step mother/father used for the latest boyfriend/girlfriend
Cant do x as I have kids, ie woe is mum

Ah so many more...

GreenCarnation · 02/08/2017 15:36

Well I couldn't just put 'supper' which is the problem as the OP asked for words plural

As a massive class/ gentrification signifier it has no equal in my view

I agree with you, it makes me cringe too.
I don't mind though, if it's a bit of toast and a glass of milk you're having around 10pm. That's supper.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 15:38

And that's why its the best meal of the day Green

EmotionalTeaspoon · 02/08/2017 15:40

On holibobs having totes amazeballs time with my famalam! #makingmemories #feelingblessed #arrestedforabuseofenglishlanguage#sorrynotsorry

Flippetydip · 02/08/2017 15:43

What on earth is famalam? I have never heard or seen this anywhere!

paperandpaint · 02/08/2017 15:45

I really dislike 'haters'!! Especially when celebs use it. They're not haters, people just don't like you or don't agree with you!

And the use of 'wee' as in 'a wee photo' or 'Mum to 3 wee boys'. I AM Scottish and I still hate it - sorry fellow Scots!!

RhubardGin · 02/08/2017 15:45

Emmageddon

The Edinburgh Gin company do a Rhubard Gin, it's lovely! I usually have it on a night out with ginger ale Smile

I think it's because a lot of people on my FB got married recently and every single post was "married my best friend, can't wait to marry my best friend, marrying my best friend today" so me and my OH (we are getting married haha) kind of say it as a joke now Grin

paperandpaint · 02/08/2017 15:46

And supper is fab if it's tea, toast and a sneaky bag of crisps while watching telly in the evening!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 02/08/2017 15:48

MumatronAngry DaddersAngry my hipster relatives

RhubardGin · 02/08/2017 15:49

And the use of 'wee' as in 'a wee photo' or 'Mum to 3 wee boys'. I AM Scottish and I still hate it - sorry fellow Scots!!

Fellow Scot here, fit like Smile

Oh no, I say "wee" all the time!

Oh I forgot to add that Mumatron and Dadders are taking This One to the park for #togethertime.

No I have no plans to murder them yet.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 02/08/2017 15:54

I might have outed myself Blush
