Pumbleton - Grin

Persemillion · 02/08/2017 19:04

"Quality time" always sound a bit phony.

And the whole lot of #shite

kennycat · 02/08/2017 19:13

Play date
Daddy daycare

And I momentarily agree with feeling blessed and making memories. Both of these instantly make me dislike the perpetrator a little bit more.

kennycat · 02/08/2017 19:17

Not momentarily but entirely. Stupid autocorrect.

Whiterabbitears · 02/08/2017 19:24

"Living the dream!" Yuck, it sounds so smug, always seems to come from boastful types.

pascalpascal · 02/08/2017 19:54

Supper is my evening meal. Some people call it tea, some call it dinner.
It's just what I've grown up with my family calling it...

ilovepixie · 02/08/2017 19:57

We have picky tea and we all love it. It's bits and pieces like cold meats, sausages rolls, cocktail sausages, chicken wings drumsticks and so on. We've had it all my life and it's a family favourite! It's called picky tea because you pick what you want! When my OH first had picky tea he didn't know what it was and wondered why we were all excited! On the way home he said it was a fucking buffet I was expecting something amazing the way you were all going on!

FodieJoster · 02/08/2017 20:05

pascal, me too! "Supper" is the evening meal you eat if you stay at home. You go out to a restaurant for "dinner".

I grew up saying this, and had no idea it was considered posh/wanky/whatever until I went away to university.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 02/08/2017 20:08

Live Love Laugh

This house runs on love, laughter and prosecco

I'm trying to buy a house, the number of people that have this type of filth on their walls astounds me!

maggieryan · 02/08/2017 20:26

Someone putting a ridiculous picture of them on fb with a nice "frock" on and people saying swish shoo......Seriously??

MaisyPops · 02/08/2017 20:34

This one/these girls - as in having a cheeky prosecco with this one

A 'cheeky' anything - it's a glass of wine/an ice cream there's nothing cheeky about it

Illstartexercisingtomorrow · 02/08/2017 20:37

Ok, I got to page 6 and no one has mentioned the abominable:
'Connect with'

As in 'I just wanted to connect with you'
Aargh gah grrr

It is a conversation you idiot.

Had to get that out. Back to page 6 it is...

Floellabumbags · 02/08/2017 20:51

On the way home he said it was a fucking buffet I was expecting something amazing the way you were all going on!

I like the sound of your husband. I bet he doesn't use hashtags.

Catsick36 · 02/08/2017 20:52

On fleek.

Whatever the hell that means

Floellabumbags · 02/08/2017 20:54

On fleek

Is it something to do with fake tan or Rylan's teeth?

doobree · 02/08/2017 20:55

Arggh I hate all of these

Feeling blessed is just a smug boast ad there is nothing attractive about someone who does that.

And most of all I hate "reaching out" it always sounds so phony and smug and patronising and seems ot be said by the same sort of people.

Can I say it "gives me the rage" Wink

BlueIsYou · 02/08/2017 20:57

Feeling blessed is up there with...

Lil guy
Lil man
Live, laugh, love
Share this if/and/of (insert insulting caption that I'm a heartless, soulless goul)

'My world' - Oh do fuck off, Jane dearest. Only yesterday the £5 wine and sofa day were your 'absolute must'

Arealhumanbeing · 02/08/2017 20:59

Today 14:26 Ockljkclr

We call " picky dinner" enthusiastic pie in our house ☺ you throw everything you have into it! ( not necessarily a pie tho! )

That's fucking brilliant. Love it.

Shwangalangadingdong · 02/08/2017 21:18

soz. No, it's sorry, apologise like an adult !

SummerLightning · 02/08/2017 21:22

I hate the phrase "setting the world to rights" - as IME it usually involves two daily mail lovers going down the pub, discussing how they would run the world better than everyone else given the chance, and being a bit racist.

LazySusan11 · 02/08/2017 21:35

🤣 summer

northernlites · 02/08/2017 21:50

I hate OMG! 😖
Can't people find something original to say in exclamation??
Also hate
