Sorry, very boring!

Is Person A unreasonable or Person B?

Person A viewpoint:
I got back from my bike ride and went up to the work showers. I put my stuff down / hung my towel up etc. then had to pop back to my desk for something. Whilst I was there someone asked me something so it was 5 - 10 minutes before I got back to the showers. When I got there, someone had gone in with all my stuff in there so I had to wait until they finished. When they got out, I pointed out all my stuff was there and had a little bit of a (polite) moan. They said "oh sorry, I waited 5 minutes but I thought you were still out exercising and had just left your bits here after getting changed". Surely it's obvious I had just popped away and the shower room was 'in use'?

Person B viewpoint:
I got back from my run and went to the work shower. Someone's bag / towel was in there but I wasn't sure where they were. I waited for 5 minutes or so in case they came back. Most of us get changed and leave our bags at reception but I know occasionally some people leave them in the shower room so I presumed they were out running or whatever. We are a big-ish office (2 floors) so I couldn't go round asking & the other shower was full. I used the shower and was pretty quick, but when I got out the person was waiting. I apologised and explained but they were a bit stroppy. Surely you don't leave your stuff and walk off if you want to use the shower?

First world problems I know!

Person a was being an irritating dick

DrizzleHair · 01/08/2017 13:13

Person B is in the right

Ninjakittysmells · 01/08/2017 13:13

I would say person A - you can't expect to 'reserve' a shower with your stuff. If you get held up then you do run the risk of something like the above happening.

Are you B? I think you are B! Tell me I'm right!

araiwa · 01/08/2017 13:14

A

chemenger · 01/08/2017 13:14

Person A is unreasonable. The shower room was not "in use" because nobody was actually using it.

MrsQuim · 01/08/2017 13:14

Person A

GU24Mum · 01/08/2017 13:14

Person B is more patient than I would have been!

BertrandRussell · 01/08/2017 13:15

You are B. I claim my £5.00.

LockedOutOfMN · 01/08/2017 13:15

Person A is ridiculous and WBVU.

Person B WNBU.

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 01/08/2017 13:15

Person A is an idiot. I hope you're person B!

CabernetSauvignyoni · 01/08/2017 13:15

Person A.

Person B had no way of knowing how long Person A would be and it's not like B soaked all of As stuff or dumped it all outside in a heap.

Person A had to wait for a couple of minutes, hardly the end of the world.

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 01/08/2017 13:16

God I hate people who just dump their stuff and think that means they own the sodding place. Person a is a numpty

(Hope you are person b now...!)

Eminybob · 01/08/2017 13:16

Another vote for A being unreasonable

VladmirsPoutine · 01/08/2017 13:16

Person B in the right. How were they to know Person A would be back in 5 or 15 minutes.

You cannot bagsy a fucking shower.

alibongo5 · 01/08/2017 13:17

Agree with everyone else - Person B did nothing wrong. How long did person A expect anyone to wait before deciding the shower could be used?

Ameliablue · 01/08/2017 13:17

A is unreasonable.

HipsterHunter · 01/08/2017 13:17

Person A is in the wrong.

you can't bagsy the shower like that!

Person A IBU.

PunjanaTea · 01/08/2017 13:18

Person A should have just got on and had their shower. How was person B meant to know where they were, everyone is in the building to work they are not the only busy person there.

Flyingfruit · 01/08/2017 13:18

Person B is in the right.

Botanicbaby · 01/08/2017 13:18

Person A ibu and has a cheek to have a 'polite' moan. Jeez.

They can't expect Person B to be a mind reader.

Lesson learned to not leave your things in the shower room and then not use it, just because you have left 'stuff' there doesn't mean others cannot use it.

Gottagetmoving · 01/08/2017 13:19

I would do the same as person B
So, I think A was wrong.

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 01/08/2017 13:19

Person A is an eejit. Person B is in the right.

trevortrevorslattery · 01/08/2017 13:19

A is unreasonable. B not
