Hi guys! Wow I've just had a chance to come back on and noticed the last thread is full already?!

There also seems to be loads of people saying they're over it and don't believe me. That's fine, I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone. I had no idea that I would get so many responses when I initially asked for advice on this situation, however, they have really cheered me up through what has been a really crappy few days at points. Thanks all.

Sorry if ive pissed people off.

Anyway my Grandma has landed at the airport and should be with me in a couple of hours. It's not even that far away (she likes to take her time)

Ok so last time I checked (been a sod of a weekend and I was checking while 'relaxing' at the spa 🙄
The cfn had got new doors past the guy from the corner shop (ken?)
The friend taped the doors shut from the outside.

Please don't tell me to go back and read again cause I can't remember what thread I left at, can someone please very kindly give me a summary from the taped doors?

Wattyy, ignore jealous posters. I truly believe you 100%, I wish everything goes well but I'm also enjoying the drama immensely, as well as all the creativity that it has inspired. I've learnt a lot about classic threads and I've laughed quite a few times out loud. This thread is a new classic and I'm glad I've witnessed it as it happened!

I'm in the US (Florida) and totally believe every word. I work in a Building/Planning Department and you would not even believe some of the stories! We have people who add on rooms and wired workshops and all sorts of building, without permits. One guy built an entire 4 bedroom home on top of a large garage, not zoned residential and had to take it down! And, the worst offenders blame us for enforcing laws!

Just to say best thread ever! Can't believe it's got to thread 8, nearly missed getting off the bus I was so engrossed! Keep us updated, you're doing great OP! I'd have died of the stress by now! X

I'm a bit confused after catching up on thread 7, can someone fill me in please as I may have missed something, why are CFN and CFB now the same people? What points to that after this morning's encounter?

@Questioning - Wattyyy took the tape off the doors ('Tape-Gate'), but now has a satisfyingly heavy bench to put in front of them to prevent egress by the CFNs.

She caught the builders/possible CFNs red-handed in the property this morning. They tried to pretend not to speak or understand English but eventually gave in. However, they wouldn't engage or discuss anything and scarpered as soon as she went back to her flat. But Nice Planning Lady has advised that the case is Top Priority and they know who the owners are, so matters are in hand.

Lots else has happened in terms of songs/poems/advice from supportive Mumsnetters, but that's the gist, I think.
