Hi guys! Wow I've just had a chance to come back on and noticed the last thread is full already?!

There also seems to be loads of people saying they're over it and don't believe me. That's fine, I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone. I had no idea that I would get so many responses when I initially asked for advice on this situation, however, they have really cheered me up through what has been a really crappy few days at points. Thanks all.

Sorry if ive pissed people off.

Anyway my Grandma has landed at the airport and should be with me in a couple of hours. It's not even that far away (she likes to take her time) Grin

Schadenfreude there was one particularly memorable thread where we all wrote the characters' fantasy lines. You'd fit right in.

gingergenius · 01/08/2017 20:07

Ooh @Vango that sound interesting

WhatIsThisWatt · 01/08/2017 20:09

Argh I have an update but i need to go out to get something for SpanGra, quick version: young couple knocked on NNDN door, they are looking at buying a flat in the area and had a few questions about neighbourhood etc/ he asks which flat GUESS WHICH FUCKING FLAT???? They have prev. viewed the flat and were taking a look around the area, this all happened at about 3pm today!! Wtf is going on, I'm about to jump on a taxi, going to check for any listings online, can't see any from initial search
Sorry for jumbled post I'll be back soon. Arhhhhvsheudbehsjdb!!!!!!?!???!!?

Wow, I'm up to date real time with the thread for the first time since #3 (stupid WORK and parenting getting in the way). I would like to salute C8 - the Trello is a wonderful, fabulous thing! Just worried that the bar may be raised from demanding a holy diagram, to demanding a Trello board for CFNs from now on...

Also shadenfraude's Spanish translations made me laugh more than is socially acceptable on the tube

Tweez · 01/08/2017 20:12

witty, if it is 'up for sale' it won't sell with all this going on with the solicitor and planning etc....it will fall down at first hurdle. Don't worry.

MyOtherProfile · 01/08/2017 20:12

OMG! And did he ask them if it comes with a garden??

Tweez · 01/08/2017 20:12

Oops , meant to say watty, sorry 😐

socubatevira · 01/08/2017 20:14

I'm a little suspicious of the young couple! Anyone else???

Thingvellir · 01/08/2017 20:14

The CFBs are so the CFNs - rogue BTLs!

Vango · 01/08/2017 20:19

I hope your NDN gave them this face wattyyy

In taxi Grin sorry about that guys I was so pissed off and had to let you all know!!

Cannot find the flat listed anywhere, have asked SpanGran to look on the laptop at home but I do not know if this will be effective (I fear I may have left MN open so if I post some random Spanish ramblings please ignore 😂)

NNDN said they were about 20 somethings, couple, northern accent he didn't say anything to them about what was going on. Said it was a nice area, good schools etc, nice neighbours Hmm

He thinks something seriously dodgy is going on but that was about the gist. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?????

Finally back up to date!

Spookle - genius! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Recipes in Trello definitely has my vote

Watty - OMG 😱😱😱😱 How awful! CFN are absolute C**ts! I feel like my blood is about to boil over. Poor you, poor young couple trying to get their first place 😡😡😡😡😡

Engol · 01/08/2017 20:23

I never said I didn't believe the op or not like her thread, stop jumping to conclusions.
The ops updates are interesting as were some of the earlier advice she was given

The drivel of recipes and poems is mind numbing. I have the ops posts highlighted but still have to wade past dozens and dozens of self serving rubbish that isn't remotely entertaining.
There's been lots of threads referencing this one that are now deleted. Clearly it's not just a few people who think the thread has been hijacked by hysterical posters eager to try and show off how clever they think they are. It's beyond ridiculous.

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/08/2017 20:23

Oh Vango I can just imagine an Archers / CFN crossover!

Knocking a hole in a listed building to take out (and flog) a beautiful old window and replace it with dodgy patio doors is just the sort of thing Eddie Grundy would do!

Now we need appropriate lyrics set to the Archers theme...

Ruthie2k · 01/08/2017 20:23

Wtf, dodgy builders buy, do work quick and relist to sell??? Surely the survey etc will show dodgy work (especially now planning on the case).
Watching with interest (sorry, no songs or food posts as had a long day at work)

fourfuckssake4 · 01/08/2017 20:24

Anatidae · 01/08/2017 20:25

Ayay. So you think they're trying to flip it and make a quick buck?

Have you tried the land register to find out the owners?

WhatIsThisWatt · 01/08/2017 20:25

I'm going to call my solicitor in the morning, anyone know if there's some secret ungoogleable online place where you can advertise property for sale?? I don't know what to think right now.

OP posts:
instrifeagain · 01/08/2017 20:26

The local paper?

ToadsforJustice · 01/08/2017 20:27

Try Googling your post code?

Anatidae · 01/08/2017 20:29

The land registry will give you your current owners and their details.

www.landregistry-service.com

From there I'd look up their phone number and include that in your google search. Try zoopla, rightmove, all the local agents AND the local property auctioneers.

Housemum · 01/08/2017 20:29

For sale or rent? I think you can rent properties on places like Gumtree. There are small independent estate agents, and nothing to stop you advertising a house for sale any way you like - even a card in a newsagent - but once you start talking sale agreements you have to get solicitors or conveyancers involved. The worry would be if they were a bigger dodgy outfit than you thought and caught gullible young buyers who might not be aware of land registry, surveyors and local searches etc

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/08/2017 20:29

Put a sign up Wattyy pointing out it's a private garden, so that anynprospective buyers looking through the illegal patio doors will see it and think "WTF?"
