Hi guys! Wow I've just had a chance to come back on and noticed the last thread is full already?!

There also seems to be loads of people saying they're over it and don't believe me. That's fine, I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone. I had no idea that I would get so many responses when I initially asked for advice on this situation, however, they have really cheered me up through what has been a really crappy few days at points. Thanks all.

Sorry if ive pissed people off.

Anyway my Grandma has landed at the airport and should be with me in a couple of hours. It's not even that far away (she likes to take her time)

OP has already had advice on previous threads from actual police officers saying this is not a police matter. One mentioned that there would be no issue with her calling to log it, but that the exercise would be largely academic as the police are likely to advise her to consult Planning and a solicitor - which she has already done.

The wheels of justice may move too slowly for some, but taking up already minimal police time and resources with something that is a civil matter, and furthermore something that she has already been advised on by the very people the police will tell her to seek advice from, is not the correct course of action here.

Call the police, call the police, call the police. And while she's tying up the line with her civil matter on your say-so, how many actual crimes will have to wait to get through? How many muggings, assaults? How many instances of domestic violence? How many "there is someone currently trying to break into my house" calls will be put on hold because people keep insisting on wasting police time with things that are not police matters?

Thankfully, OP is a sensible sort and has already expressed that she has no intention of calling the police. She has called Planning and a solicitor, as per advice from actual police officers on this thread, and now she is waiting patiently for them to get back to her.

You would do well to do the same.

Fairhinthesound - I was not suggesting she call the police. I was saying that to say it's a civil matter only is INCORRECT. If it is persistent and the same persons are entering the private garden then it can also be dealt with criminally. But not initially.

I have not said dial 999 and take police away from other calls

What I said ages ago (thread 3 I think) was to call 101 and log the issue so if she needs any police records for insurance etc she has them!

I've been lurking on all these threads but I just had to say HI SPANGRAN ❤️ My husband was initially perturbed at me waffling on about you like I knew you Watty, but he has now joined your cause and eagerly awaits updates about CFN. Thanks for making my life of being pinned to the sofa by a newborn and a toddler who throws trains at us slightly more entertaining. my CFN also don't seem so bad anymore
