CFN SpanGran has landed thread #8

WhatIsThisWatt · 31/07/2017 17:43

Hi guys! Wow I've just had a chance to come back on and noticed the last thread is full already?!

There also seems to be loads of people saying they're over it and don't believe me. That's fine, I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone. I had no idea that I would get so many responses when I initially asked for advice on this situation, however, they have really cheered me up through what has been a really crappy few days at points. Thanks all.

Sorry if ive pissed people off.

Anyway my Grandma has landed at the airport and should be with me in a couple of hours. It's not even that far away (she likes to take her time) Grin

Good morning from Crete. V much looking forward to news of today's adventures of Spangran plus news of returning CFN and ensuing paella pan pulverisation.

MrsJ1205 · 01/08/2017 06:57

Breakfast- you're amazing! Woke up hubby humming along to your song!

I can't keep up though, these threads have taken over my life! Yesterday went to work, finished at 17.30, had missed 2 whole threads!

Hola SpanGran! Glad you made it here safely! Wish we could all share paella!

DappledThings · 01/08/2017 07:04

I dreamt last night that MNHQ did something just for this thread so it no longer capped at 1000 and could carry on forever!

Rossigigi · 01/08/2017 07:06

Dreamt I was CFN and couldn't get out of the patio doors because of your benchHmm

Pure genius. Absolutely awesome

aleC4 · 01/08/2017 07:15

So glad you grandma arrived safely - hope she didn't keep you up too late!

faithinthesound · 01/08/2017 07:30

I NEED them to cap at 1000! It makes logical cutting up points for my recaps!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 01/08/2017 07:34

Ok I know it doesn't rhyme but at least I did try

No worries steamtrain - it's called "assonance" and it is a legitimate way for "getting the rhyme wrong" (see: "Educating Rita")

You are infinitely more skilled than you were aware.

Thank you everyone who has shown appreciation of my translating skills . It seems that I may have found my SuperPower. I am now applying for jobs as a simultaneous translator for the United Nations. May I rely on you lot for references?

Doublemint · 01/08/2017 07:36

mermaid she's a poncho fan

LakieLady · 01/08/2017 07:37

Schadenfreude I love your translation and am very glad I went for a wee before reading it.

I now want to go into the chemist for some nostril cream.

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 01/08/2017 07:39

CircleOfWillis,

I'm torn between loving your imagination yet hoping to God that scenario is way off target... Shock Grin

IggyAce · 01/08/2017 07:39

Morning, all caught up. Can't wait to hear how spangran deals with anyone she finds in the garden.

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 01/08/2017 07:40

Ok, am only on page 11 and so far but need to go out and we'll probably on thread 42 by the time I get back, so I just need to butt in now to say thank you to BreakfastatSquiffanys' utterly magnificent reworking of American Pie. Star Have just sung to DH who has announced he thinks he needs to get in on the act...

Foreverhopeful22 · 01/08/2017 07:42

Cricky this fills up quick. Op any news

LakieLady · 01/08/2017 07:46

I don't understand why you're chatting with a corner shop man and calling in Spanish relatives when you should just be calling the police?

Because no crime has been committed. The trespass, the flytipping and making changes to a listed building without consent are all civil matters.

MadamePomfrey · 01/08/2017 07:54

Morning all just gonna sit and have this while I catch up Brew

LakieLady · 01/08/2017 07:55

OVienna, what a beautiful dog! He looks like an otterhound in that pic, but I'm guessing he's a labradoodle.

He has a fantastic expression.

Foreverhopeful22 · 01/08/2017 07:55

Lakielady -
Because no crime has been committed. The trespass, the flytipping and making changes to a listed building without consent are all civil matters.

If it is continuous and blatantly done it can be classed as a crime.

If she calls police and makes a record of each time it happens and the police have a word this all back up her case with the council as well

mrszebrastripe · 01/08/2017 07:58

I hope Abuella had a good nights sleep and is on top fiesty form for today!

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 01/08/2017 08:05

Forever - we had a couple of police people on various threads who all said its not a police matter and please not to call

Whilst I agree I think it should be logged with 101 in case it escalates - op was advised not to

I'm so glad she has this thread and all the craziness, songs and pets volunteering to guard - it's what I'd need if I was going through the trauma of next door trying to steal my garden!

WattdeEll · 01/08/2017 08:14

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that it is impossible to be unhappy in a poncho.
In the movie, are we going to have a scene where it cuts to a shot of all us MNer's at our keyboards/phones or would be play ourselves? Outing, but perhaps a once chance at fame?

CFN SpanGran has landed thread #8
WattdeEll · 01/08/2017 08:15

Doh! I meant to say can we choose who plays our characters? Or do we play ourselves?

OVienna · 01/08/2017 08:16

lakie
He is a Griffin Nivernais rescue from Spain!

OVienna · 01/08/2017 08:16

Griffon that is.

OVienna · 01/08/2017 08:18
