Oh I don't want to believe ken is in on it all...ill be very disappointed if he is. I think he's just rather inept as a detective! I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that he's just busy with his shop

I'm sure this has been considered and I know upthread the doorbell cam was also mentioned, but just my own offering.....

We had to have a camera due to sustained vandalism at the front of our house, which is also listed. I had a camera (I can link to it but I'm not going to publicly in case I get accused of promotion, which isn't the case, but can message details). It was under £100. We turned the infra red off to prevent glare off the glass and placed it on the windowsill looking out. It only triggers with movement and records to an SD card which you can view remotely and get alerts for triggers on your phone, so pretty much wherever you are you can watch your garden and have safe recordings of any instances of trespass. The images are HD and super clear.

In our case the person causing the vandalism was recorded, identified and then arrested.

It was worth every single penny!

It might make you feel better knowing you can watch what they are up to even when you are not there?

I'm going out on a limb in support of ken!! Poor man is running a business while keeping an eye on a flat across the road! We don't even know what kind of view of the CFFs flat he has!! I'm staying #TeamKen for now

I've lurked from the beginning but not posted before. It does very much sound like the builders are the owners, and were going to do it up and sell on quickly, hoping that no one notifies planning. They must be dim if they think that replacing the shitey doors is going to cut it. Do we know if the Land Registry website has been updated to reflect the new owner yet?

And I've added the Latin Mottoes and that fabulous brekkie, but can't make the mottoes look pretty?

I'd be mindful that the CFBs don't sneak into the garden and take away the not-to-be-removed rubble listed building materials. They seem like the kind of people who'd think "not to enter the garden for any reason" means "Except for this little clean-up job".

Madame and aaaaarggh I don't want to believe it either. But I really don't want to have to say 'told you so' when this whole sorry saga is over. But ok, lets go with 'Lovely (but busy) Ken' for now.

@WhatIsThisWatt - I just want to let you know that my 8 y/o daughter is intrigued by the whole CFB/CFN/CFF debacle (I have edited for young ears) and now wants me to introduce her as PandaPawsCuteCuddles and she wants me to let you know that if SHE can understand that the CFF/CFBs shouldn't be using your garden without permission then those builders must be really thick. Or very naughty.  (gifts from Panda)

Delurking but have read most of the previous threads.

It's fairly standard for builders, trades etc to start work around 8am.

Also thought it worth mentioning that the guys from this morning may be plumbers or decorators if they were there to finish th bathroom. If the owners are having lots of work done there may be different trades there at different times so these guys may not have anything to do with the illegal door.

Come on now, Ken gave free wine in sympathy, he's busy, not a double agent.

Ok, maybe concrete isn't the best idea. Just needs to be heavy. (Forgot about the need to rectify, and was only thinking about stopping them getting out)

I seem to remember the man was referred to as pink cock (possibly due to the OP's colour coding in her diagram?). It turned nasty later though iirc

Chinese lady may well be the owner, a delivery driver, the estate agent, interior designer, paper girl, project manager or not exist 😂😂😂.

The builders that were there today are the same bunch from Thursday?? (I think that's when it all kicked off!) So definitely involved with the doors!

Builders may or may not be owners personally they sound we'll know to the planning office so I'm thinking not just a bunch of cowboys that will do anything for money. I still think flat is either being renevated before owners move in or flipped by a developer. I'm honestly not sure we will be seeing The owners for a long time.
