Scenario

Indoor Hotel Pool
Summer holidays
Very quiet spell

Woman A and children around pool. She has laptop and is using it and watching the children

Woman B comes in with her children
They settle and the children start to jump into the pool which causes a few tiny splashes which land on the laptop.

Woman A asks the girls to move to the other side of the pool to jump. They stay and continue to jump splashing the laptop more. Woman A covers laptop with towel and asks woman B of her children can move.

Woman B tells woman A that it's not a brilliant place to take a laptop and suggests she should put it away as they're in a swimming pool.

Woman A tells woman B that there are no viewing areas other than the side of the pool.

Woman B tells her children to continue jumping and having fun and that woman A should be enjoying time in the pool not staring at a screen.

Woman A hears this and tells woman B to fuck off learn some manners and that she is working and looking after her children. [confused

Woman A is unreasonable

MrTrebus · 26/07/2017 17:13

Woman B would be me! 100% correct. Do your work elsewhere and at another time. Stop being a douchebag woman A! Who takes a fucking laptop to the side of a swimming pool Hmm

napmeistergeneral · 26/07/2017 17:14

If you take a laptop poolside, you have to accept the risk of splashes! Woman A is being ridiculous.

inspiredbutohsotired · 26/07/2017 17:15

I think woman B is unreasonable. It would have been easy for her to ask her children to jump in elsewhere, whereas it sounds like A was just trying to be a responsible parent working and supervising her kids.

Both being unreasonable IMO.

tangledup123 · 26/07/2017 17:16

Woman A is obviously the unreasonable one.

Katedotness1963 · 26/07/2017 17:16

A is in the wrong.

misshelena · 26/07/2017 17:17

Is the other side of the pool equally fun as this side? I mean would the girls have less fun if they were to jump in from the other side of the pool?

Is there no space for woman A to move back from the pool so she doesn't get splashed?

The devil is in the details.

Which one were you?

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 26/07/2017 17:17

Woman A is BVU and a twat.

Emmeline123 · 26/07/2017 17:18

I love these "objective scenarios" where it's patently obvious from the language who the OP is.

SpartacusSaiman · 26/07/2017 17:18

Both. Taking a laptop to a pool especially when kids are around (or a good chance they will be around) is a daft idea.

Woman B could have moved the kids. But li do kind of see her point. Poolsides are not the best place for a laptop. The kids were using the pool as it should be used.

Woman A should not have told woman b to fuck off.

WhoMovedMyPeas · 26/07/2017 17:19

There was nobody else there

The woman A was up to the wall
The woman B's children were on her side

There was space all the way around the pool which is approx 30mtr pool
Enough detail?

SpartacusSaiman · 26/07/2017 17:19

On balance woman A was far more unreasonable.

knockknockknock · 26/07/2017 17:19

You're woman A aren't you.

Urubu · 26/07/2017 17:20

B is being U.
Why didn't she ask her DC to jump from the ither side? I guess just to make a point about people always glued to their screens.

BlondeB83 · 26/07/2017 17:20

Both unreasonable. But woman B could have just asked the kids to move.

misshelena · 26/07/2017 17:20

Also how big is the pool? If it is small, then woman A is wrong. Because by using only one side of the pool, the fun is hugely reduced for the kids.

Tazerface · 26/07/2017 17:20

Swimming pools are wet areas. If you don't want there to be a possibility of your possessions getting wet, then don't have them by the pool.

WhoMovedMyPeas · 26/07/2017 17:21

Just for Emmeline

Security came and told woman B to move to the other side of pool with her children

There was CCTV in pool

Sprinklestar · 26/07/2017 17:21

Woman A. Silly cow. Who takes a laptop to the pool?!

Sounds like those idiots in cafes who snort and snarl if you so much as crack a smile as they're 'working'. Yeah, working so hard you have to use Starbucks' wifi cos you cant afford an office... Hmm

Security came and told the woman to kove her kids. Did tell the woman there should be no electricals arounf the pool?

Thats ridiculous
