Scenario

Indoor Hotel Pool
Summer holidays
Very quiet spell

Woman A and children around pool. She has laptop and is using it and watching the children

Woman B comes in with her children
They settle and the children start to jump into the pool which causes a few tiny splashes which land on the laptop.

Woman A asks the girls to move to the other side of the pool to jump. They stay and continue to jump splashing the laptop more. Woman A covers laptop with towel and asks woman B of her children can move.

Woman B tells woman A that it's not a brilliant place to take a laptop and suggests she should put it away as they're in a swimming pool.

Woman A tells woman B that there are no viewing areas other than the side of the pool.

Woman B tells her children to continue jumping and having fun and that woman A should be enjoying time in the pool not staring at a screen.

Woman A hears this and tells woman B to fuck off learn some manners and that she is working and looking after her children. [confused

Women b is mad! Why let you your kids splash someone else at all if plenty of room?! Drives me mad when people do this in a empty(ish) pool. People are only getting her up that it's laptop. No one should be splashing anyone on the side in a quiet 30m pool.

There were no fisticuffs over breakfast. Most disappointing Grin

Woman B was the failure on more than one level.

Guepe · 28/07/2017 02:41

If it were busy, I'd have said A was unreasonable.

In the circumstances, B was an asshole.

SilverBirchTree · 28/07/2017 06:30

Woman B is unreasonable.

Woman A would strike me as a working Mum trying to do her best, and it wouldn't have been difficult for you (Woman B) to peacefully coexist with her in that moment.

The children shouldn't have been splashing adults sitting by the pool regardless of whether there was a laptop involved. You also didn't need to make snide comments about her laptop.

Give her a break.

cansu · 28/07/2017 06:37

Woman a is being ridiculous. Its a pool. You and your possessions will get wet. She is lucky my son with asd wasnt there. He sends tidal wave style splashes everywhere. He is also non verbal and would not have been able to stop.

notarehearsal · 28/07/2017 06:40

Why didn't the children move when woman A asked them to?

MudCity · 28/07/2017 06:40

Woman B is unreasonable. If there was plenty of room, why did she have to go and park herself and her splashing children near Women A?

Probably not the best place to use a laptop but woman B sounds very rude.

midnightmisssuki · 28/07/2017 07:11

I think woman B is BU. We don't know the circumstances of what she was doing? Was she a single parent, who has no help and therefore has to work during the holiday period?

Woman B should not be telling her what she can and cannot do on holiday.
