Unwanted hair - should I buy a No-no?

Have seen these advertised for ages - I have blonde facial hair so asking those of you who have invested in these contraptions if they really work? Have lots of facial fluff to get rid of, otherwise could grow it for halloween to make a very convincing wizard...

No-no!! They have shit reviews and the heads don't last long and are expensive to replace (not speaking from experience - I looked into it myself a few years back)

Fluffyears · 25/07/2017 20:54

Noooo! I've heard they leave burns on your face. A gentle facial hair removing cream would be better.

chipsandpeas · 25/07/2017 21:01

no they are shit

look into microblading - they take off all the fluff with a razor

RuggerHug · 25/07/2017 21:02

I've heard all they do is magically not remove the hair yet make your entire house smell of burnt hair..

EndoplasmicReticulum · 25/07/2017 21:28

Get a springy thing for a quid off ebay.

tiredbutFINE · 25/07/2017 21:31

Get the spring spiral hair removal thing with plastic ends for a quid. It's amazing. I would pay £20 or more for one if I had to. Would not be without it. They are on eBay and the like

jennielou75 · 25/07/2017 21:36

I bought one. It burnt my face. They refunded after a fuss. Now I have a flashing thing that cost a lot but works . Sorry post migraine fuzz!

DollyPartonsBeard · 25/07/2017 21:51

The clue is in the name. Check out the reviews on Amazon, they're not impressive.

mummyofmoomoos · 25/07/2017 22:24

I bought a no-no, and i wish i hadnt-hadnt, it literally burns the hair away and the smell is quite awful. I have gone back to waxing and just ordered a spring hair remover from amazon, that wont smoke like the dont-dont!!

Kailoer · 25/07/2017 22:33

Get a pound spring roller thing from eBay

Wish I'd known about them years ago!!!

Scaredycat3000 · 25/07/2017 22:56

I got demo in the middle of Selfridges 15 years ago. I smelt of burnt hair. Wasn't impressed.

Groupie123 · 25/07/2017 23:28

I have a springy hair remover from amazon for 80p. Works a charm.

featheryfancy · 25/07/2017 23:30

Complete waste of money. I got one years ago when they still had the 60 day return guarantee thankfully and swiftly returned it.

LellyMcKelly · 25/07/2017 23:36

No-no. All they do is burn the hair off your face with a burning wire. It stinks and is less effective than shaving, and leaves you with burnt stubble. Wax or epilators are effective - though sore?

muddlefuck · 25/07/2017 23:39

MyheartbelongstoG · 25/07/2017 23:41

Lol

TicketyBoo83 · 25/07/2017 23:43

Another vote for the springy thingy! Once you get the hang of it it's great!

ophiotaurus · 25/07/2017 23:47

Does the spring thing hurt a lot? It looks sore

WannaBeDelgadaToFitInToMyPrada · 25/07/2017 23:48

Have you tried one of those tweezers with two handles and a spring in the middle.

WannaBeDelgadaToFitInToMyPrada · 25/07/2017 23:49

Oh sorry. Repeating others.

I think it hurts a bit on the upper lip but it's not unbearable.

19lottie82 · 25/07/2017 23:52

If you are thinking of buying one, buy one from the official site. All the cheap ones on Amazon and eBay are fake and can seriously damage your skin.

TeslasDeathRay · 26/07/2017 00:06

Those springy things are the devil! I have one and I don't use it because it hurts too bloody much. Sad

TicketyBoo83 · 26/07/2017 00:11

I find it less painful than plucking my eyebrows. It's definitely bearable.

You can also buy facial epilators on amazon. I bought this one a few weeks ago but I've not been brace enough to try it on my 'tache yet
