Unwanted hair - should I buy a No-no?

Have seen these advertised for ages - I have blonde facial hair so asking those of you who have invested in these contraptions if they really work? Have lots of facial fluff to get rid of, otherwise could grow it for halloween to make a very convincing wizard...

DodgyGround · 26/07/2017 00:16

Can someone like the springy things everyone is talking about, or do I have to put "springy things" in the word search on eBay?!

DodgyGround · 26/07/2017 00:16

Link, not like

WannaBeDelgadaToFitInToMyPrada · 26/07/2017 00:18

TeslasDeathRay · 26/07/2017 00:22

I think they're called Episticks.
Torture sticks more like.

DodgyGround · 26/07/2017 00:23

That link took me to a welcome to BT website!

TeslasDeathRay · 26/07/2017 00:24

user1498240695 · 26/07/2017 00:25

Springy thingy? Is that the name of said implement? Mum will be chuffed

DodgyGround · 26/07/2017 00:28

Your link also too me to a welcome to BT website - what's going on?!

TeslasDeathRay · 26/07/2017 00:32

Might have to clear your cache or restart your browser?

Ladybirdbookworm · 26/07/2017 00:39

I got a Philips Lumea after someone recommended it on style and beauty
It's brilliant - I can't stop telling people about it.
Stay well clear of the NoNo ......really bad reputation .

TheMaddHugger · 26/07/2017 00:52

(((((((Hugs)))))))))))

TheMaddHugger · 26/07/2017 00:53

That springy thing didn't work for me either. sorry

kali110 · 26/07/2017 01:28

Can you pnly remove facial hair with the springly thing?
Plus 'microblading'
Isn't that semi permant makeup?
Never heard of any other.

PurpleChai · 26/07/2017 01:42

Amazon link to a spring I have one and it's amazing, can use it on other areas of your body for random stray hairs and such like!

TwoShades1 · 26/07/2017 01:48

You could try dermaplaning. It's great for exfoliation as well as removing hair. Either get it done professionally at a salon or you can do a reasonable job yourself at home. Have a look at videos on YouTube.

TheMaddHugger · 26/07/2017 01:54

Microblading has worked for me. It's really just shaving. and no the hair doesn't come back thicker.

((((((PCOS Sufferers))))))))))))

ThinkOfTheHorses · 26/07/2017 02:23

They only work because you essentially have to sandpaper after the laser ... sandpapering ( the special skin kind) works this way anyway so the no-no is just a fancy light

HappyUnicorn · 26/07/2017 07:11

Thanks all, will have a look at the springy thing. Ladybird does the Philips Lumea work on blonde hair too?

Springy thing works well though if you don't like it well it only costs about a quid so not an expensive thing to try. There's a "technique" to doing it, I had to look on YouTube! Once I got the technique I happily sit in front of tv without a mirror "springing" my chin fluff and tache. Yes it can hurt a bit, I think it hurt less than threading though.

jeaux90 · 26/07/2017 07:54

Tinkle. You get them on Amazon. I picked up this tip on the style and beauty section. I am blonde with fluff on my face, between the eye brows, top lip and round my jaw. The tinkle works, it's basically microblading at home.

I love it and I no longer have to wax every two weeks. Try the tinkle, beauty routine game changer

Mamabear14 · 26/07/2017 08:17

I get my peach fuzz waxed every 4 weeks. It's a second of feeling like someone has slapped you in the face, then silky skin. Well worth the £7 I pay for it.

HappyUnicorn · 26/07/2017 09:28

So if you use the spring you don't get thicker hair or stubble?

There was a video on FB recently of someone reviewing that springy thing. It was hilarious. I believe it must smart a little the first time you use it. Grin
