AIBU to dye my hair bright purple?

Ok, i've bought the dye, shall I do it? trying to build up courage

I'm 45, mumsy, quite conservative, frumpy boring not something I would normally do but it's summer and I work term time. I feel like having a blow out and doing something unexpected.
Dh is just raising his eyebrows at me.

OP it looks fab! Really suits you. Many years ago I had purple hair (I used Manic Panic too!) and I've missed it ever since. Might take your lead and get some cheeky hidden highlights for when I put mine up

Dh 'lost' me in IKEA the other week. I was wearing a red cardi and standing in front of a display of hanging tablecloths with my back to him. The tablecloths were the same colour as my hair, and there were some red chopping boards on a display stand behind me.

I had the underneath layer of mine done at the hairdresser.

Pink, purple, blue, turquoise and green. It's lush.
