Watching washing on the line on a breezy day. I could literally stare at it for hours, it gives me a complete sense of wellbeing.

DJBaggySmalls · 23/07/2017 22:32

I've just got 4 lovely lavender plants from Lidl for under £2 and I've got just the spot for them near the door. I've sown some passion fruit seeds and they are sprouting, so they're going up the wall.

I'm planning my DDs first birthday party. I know she won't care, but we do. There will be cake and balloons. What's not to love!

ticketytock1 · 23/07/2017 22:48

Clean sheets and pyjamas after a bath.
A Chinese takeout followed by wine and chocolates.
Bacon sandwiches with tea in bed on a Sunday morning.
Watching Disney movies as a family.
Seeing people I love happy.

buckeejit · 23/07/2017 22:49

Tea & cake, the garden, dc playing, clean sheets & book time!

flickerty · 23/07/2017 22:58

My first cup of tea of the day that DH brings into me in bed.

(He does NOTHING ELSE FOR ME EVER so I really cherish it Grin)

anotherprosecco · 23/07/2017 22:58

Oh yes, seeing a full load of washing drying in the wind on a sunny day, and the smell of it when it comes in!

GertyTheGert · 23/07/2017 23:00

When I go out in the morning and hear a bird singing his heart out - a beautiful sound - that's why I love spring so much! Secondly, a beautiful sunset when there is lemon, apricot, pale pink, palest green, turquoise, pale blue and orange and red in the west - wonderful sight! Thirdly a rainbow. Fourthly kittens or puppies playing, ahhhhhh!!!

donajimena · 23/07/2017 23:01

I am not a fan of dismal weather but a downpour of biblical proportions this afternoon whilst I was reading was beyond cosy!

Tonight it's orange vodka x relaxing with a jigsaw in front of the TV
Feeling virtuous because I painted the fences and tidied front and back garden

Unicorn81 · 23/07/2017 23:11

Playing with my dog then watching sleep peacefully with no worries (hes a rescue)

missiondecision · 23/07/2017 23:13

Hearing my children laugh.

Seeing my husband smile at me when he opens his eyes first thing in morning.
Seeing a rainbow.
Enjoying peace and quiet first thing the morning.

OliviaBonas · 23/07/2017 23:15

I love rainbows 🌈 and freshly washed sheets as well.

BoldKitties · 23/07/2017 23:15

Lovely thread.

For me it's fresh bed linen and jammies, after a lovely relaxing bath.

Cooking dinner with my DP. We chat, we laugh, we dance around the kitchen.

Watching our cats scuttling around and playing together, then when they are tired they climb up on me and snuggle in with a big happy sigh.

When it rains really heavily and the wind is howling. Lighting the fire and sitting watching the rain beat against the window.

Time with my nephew. That's the best one. Until he arrived, I never knew it was possible to feel so much love for a tiny wee person (DP and I don't have children, though not for the want of trying). He has been such a special light in our lives. I happily spend hours just sitting on the floor with him, playing and laughing. And then when he comes in for a giant hug and big slobbery kiss, it's just amazing. He's amazing. Watching DP get down on the floor and play with him, the great time they have together. I'm constantly floored by his lovely, caring personality, mischevious sense of humour, and big happy laugh. So wonderful.

What a lovely thread OP - thanks for starting it! :)

Loads of the things that other posters have already mentioned - plus things like red wine and naice chocolate, 😍 my cats when they're all comfy and settled, listening to my favourite music, sitting on a lovely squishy comfy sofa, having the fire on when it's chilly outside, the first bite of a hot meal when you're cold, worn-out and in need of some TLC....

RangeTesKopeks · 23/07/2017 23:21

Ooh also reading a good book Smile (and many more that I can't think of right now!)

Redcliff · 23/07/2017 23:28

Today me and my toddler went into the garden when it was raining and splashed in the puddles - it was joyful

PurityOfChaos · 23/07/2017 23:57

The smell of orange peel, yes I do sniff the peel. A fresh pair of washing up gloves. Rain when I don't need to go anywhere. Hearing young child laugh.

SelfObsessionHoney · 24/07/2017 00:02

I sniff DS's milky breath after I feed him. It makes me feel like my heart will burst.

Goldenphoenix · 24/07/2017 03:25

Cuddles with my children.
A pot of tea and a nice piece of coffee cake.
Family gatherings at my Dad's house, they make me feel so grounded.
A bath with epsom salts and lavender oil whilst reading a good book. Bliss.

Bluefrog26 · 24/07/2017 06:03

Watching my children sleep and sniffing/nuzzling them.

Helbelle75 · 24/07/2017 06:10

Listening to our 3 month old dd 'chat' away to my dh.
