The vitriol on here is astounding. Judgemental or what? I bet your all in favour of breastfeeding but...and it's the "but" that puts so many people off. I bet nothing would be said about a car sticker sponsored by a formula company with some "fed is best" shite on it. The crunchy mummy references are offensive too, again because they are judgemental and suggest that there is only one type of parenting (your own) that is acceptable to you.
Does this lady make you feel threatened/inadequate?

@Teaformeplease

FFS Lighten up.

Are you booby sticker woman by any chance? Grin

newnamenewnamenewname · 23/07/2017 12:52

The sticker is an advert for the local breastfeeding support service in Plymouth, you just can't read it properly in the photo. So if you want to be charitable, it could be that the owner is not so smug that she wants to advertise to all and sundry that she gets her tits out to feed her baby, but it's an unfortunate consequence of wanting to get the word out about the service. On the other hand, the PR person who designed the sticker and thought it was a good idea...

Although I suppose it's got people talking! Grin

WorraLiberty · 23/07/2017 12:52

Its almost as though the car owner things good parenting stops when the child is weaned.

Given the childhood obesity figures, that's quite possible.

Lurkedforever1 · 23/07/2017 12:53

It does anything but promote breastfeeding imo. It's hardly encouraging to lead people to believe the average breastfeeding parent is a lentil weaving cock.

I did breastfeed and people like that make me want to deny it to stand in solidarity with parents who formula fed.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 23/07/2017 12:54

Why would anybody feel threatened by an obnoxious sticker that does nothing but make the owner look like a massive bellend? Why do people need to know her baby is breastfed?

ladystarkers · 23/07/2017 12:54

Pointless sticker.

Mummyoflittledragon · 23/07/2017 12:54

What a twat. Fed dd myself. Friends struggled. That would have been a nice v sign to them, wouldn't it?

LinoleumBlownapart · 23/07/2017 12:54

Grin Grin what a load of wank!

I saw a woman breastfeeding a toddler while riding on the back of a pushbike, but I don't think this precious sticker was made for people like her.

Teaformeplease · 23/07/2017 12:54

No I won't lighten up because I'm sick of the prevailing opinion on here bring its ok to knock BF mothers because some mothers might be upset as they couldn't /wouldn't breastfeed.
But then you can't argue with stupid.

MyheartbelongstoG · 23/07/2017 12:56

Who cares.

Its just a car sticker.

Windycityblues · 23/07/2017 12:57

Breastfeeding is great, being a smug Pillock about breastfeeding isn't great. There is a big difference between the two.

Yeah, Tea you got it. We are just so jealous and threatened by a sticker announcing that she procreated and her baby is receiving nutrition
I was surprised it was a skoda too, at least a Prius or a leaf. But something big enough to fit her halo and wings.

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 23/07/2017 12:59

Nobody is knocking BF mothers. We are knocking sanctimonious BF mothers.

paxillin · 23/07/2017 13:00

Grin Grin Grin Are wanky car stickers announcing your baby feeding regime a requirement for adequate parenting? I shall happily remain an inadequate parent then.

X post, fucks sake, no one here is knocking bf mothers, many of us did it. But did we want a medal for it ?(well some days, yes) Generally no.
But then you can't argue with "spoiling for a scrap"

Huskylover1 · 23/07/2017 13:03

I'm sorry, but I would actually shudder as I drove past that car in my convertible breastfed kids are now at Uni and I'm having a very enjoyable mid life crisis

Grin

I bet nothing would be said about a car sticker sponsored by a formula company with some "fed is best" shite on it.

I bet plenty would be said. I'd be distinctly unimpressed by someone who thought it necessary to go round announcing that they were better parents because they use Blogg's Formula.

Does this lady make you feel threatened/inadequate?

Not in the least. I don't think parents who formula feed are inadequate, and never have done. And, for what it's worth, I breastfed.

Teaformeplease · 23/07/2017 13:04

It's not jealousy, why would anyone feel jealous of any woman who is vilified for feeding her baby using breasts.
It seems to induce a paranoid and insecure response in the those who did not breastfeed. The pack mentality at its worst.
As I said, you can't argue with stupid so I'll leave you all get on with your smug bitching.

Lurkedforever1 · 23/07/2017 13:04

Nobody is knocking breastfeeding or breastfeeding mothers. Just pretentious wankers who think the general public gives a flying fuck how they feed their babies, or those who think it makes them superior parents.

Lactating is no more of an achievement than menstruating, except nobody would dream of going around using the length and heaviness of their periods to claim superiority over other parents.

DanCarterIsMyOtherHusband · 23/07/2017 13:05

They will be one of those breastfeeding nazis that tell people how shit they are for ff and make out that everyone who ff is a selfish unmotherly cunt who doesn't deserve kids . oh and I bet she is the type that lobs them out in full view of everyone in the most inappropriate places where people squirm as she squirts breastmikk from her nipple to ensure everyone sees she is a lactating mother

cuckingfunt did you say you are a midwife? Um, really?

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 23/07/2017 13:05

As I said, you can't argue with stupid so I'll leave you all get on with your smug bitching.

Ok, thanks! Bye!

IHateUncleJamie · 23/07/2017 13:05

Tea loads of pps did bf or are bfing but still think the sticker is fuckwitted. I think you've missed the point, somewhat.

Nobody's "knocking" breastfeeding, we're knocking smug yet pointless car stickers.

Ceto · 23/07/2017 13:06

In a few years time that sticker will no doubt be replaced with "free range children on board"

Or "child-led family on board".
