Wish I heeded the advice about drinking water Envy

In McCain's statement of why he voted no, he goes on to say he wants a bipartisan process and lays the blame of ACA failing at the feet of democrats for not engaging with republicans to create a good healthcare bill but I don't think that was the case. This is from when trump was president elect but it's startling that it feels noteworthy that a member of one party says they will whole heartedly embrace another party's ideas if improves the situation. We've come so far from that in just 6 months and there are very few republicans that would endorse working in a truly bipartisan way (but there are some as laSt night demonstrated).

So I go out for one evening and I miss all this ! Shock

I'm enjoying and am equally appalled by the Mooch. Am off to read and catch up.

Lesson learned though - no going out or taking time off. Grin

The lovely Mr Colbert.

Joe Pesci to read Scaramouche's late night call transcript. Grin

Good point by O'Donnell: he's not even yet a WH employee.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 28/07/2017 11:48

I agree. Lawrence O'Donnell on point again.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 28/07/2017 12:18

Because this is the lesson to learn from healthcare failure Hmm

Gov. Mike Huckabee @GovMikeHuckabee
Time to repeal 17th Amendment. Founders had it right-Senators chosen by state legislatures. Will work for their states and respect 10th amid

southpaw @nycsouthpaw
The great populist, frustrated over latest failure of the effort to rip insurance from millions, wants to end direct election of senators.

Lweji · 28/07/2017 12:23

They are working for their states. Not for the State Governors, though. For the people who voted for them in those states, rather.

Stupid Huckleberry.

BREAKING: U.S. will have to send home hundreds of its embassy staff from Russia - Interfax

cozietoesie · 28/07/2017 13:25

Is there to be a live, televised, WH presser today? Smile

AcrossthePond55 · 28/07/2017 13:38

Huckabee's an ignorant git. Senators don't work for the state legislators, nor for the governor. They work for We, the People!

But that's something Huckabee has never understood. Especially when he was governor.

Someone said something similar above, but perhaps McCain is being faced with his own mortality and realizing that principles really are more important than party.

And can someone explain to me why every time I hear Scaramucci's face or hear his name I immediately sing "Will you do the fandango!"? Grin What a vulgar, ignorant little jerk.

cozietoesie · 28/07/2017 13:42

I have to say, the notion that you should vote for something only on the basis that it will not become law rather makes me roll my eyes. The sooner there's a return to order, the better.

cozietoesie · 28/07/2017 13:44

From one of the senators......

...."This was a heavy lift. We should have taken our time. We should have first turned to tax reform and that’s what we’ll do now," Republican Senator Ron Johnson told reporters....

InigoTaran · 28/07/2017 14:43

This tweet made me laugh!

President grabs pussy. Top advisor sucks his own cock. Comms Director cock-blocks. Entire staff leaks all over. White House or sex dungeon?

Fiderer · 28/07/2017 15:16

Guardian Who said it quiz Scaramucci or Veep

Thanks to the links on here & having watched Veep, I got 10/10 but on some questions I was hesitating Grin He hasn't even taken up the post yet.

AcrossthePond55 · 28/07/2017 15:18

I think MS-13 growing stronger serves Scrotus' agenda very well. It gets rid of 'others' through gang violence/retribution as well as vilifies 'others' as violent thugs. I'm sure his PR people think of that as a 'twofer'. Disgusting.

lionheart · 28/07/2017 15:26

I think you are right there Across. But the cost is huge.

Lweji · 28/07/2017 16:14

10/10

Too easy.

Lweji · 28/07/2017 16:14

It may also mean I've been over invested...

lionheart · 28/07/2017 16:18

I scored 8 but in my defence I have only watched one VEEP episode.

Lweji · 28/07/2017 16:20

I have never watched VEEP. But I know what the douche has said.
