I've been following Kyle Griffin and he is reporting John McCain as saying he won't vote for the bill as it stands as it is a shell of a bill.

I've watched a clip of McCain's speech and its pretty impressive but unfortunately the link on Twitter to the full speech won't open on my device.

I'm not sure I understand what's actually happening.

Yes it's probably an overeaction but it all feels very volatile (although I accept it might just feel that way)

Things like this are happening and I don't know how significant it is but it all feels heightened at the moment.

As someone on Twitter said 'it's a shame John McCain didn't listen to John McCain's speech before voting'.

I understand Pain. It's feels like everything is off the rails.

2- The fight is just beginning. Senators are on record. They will own that.

But they can't avoid details any longer.

4- House bill, Senate bill, full repeal, skinny bill-- it doesn't matter.

Every possibility hurts America badly.

5- News for the majority. They have zero zero votes to lose.

There are at least 4 or 5 Senators that will be forced to lie to vote yes.

6- Many will claim they need to see big changes to vote for it as McCain is. They have not found them so far.

7- The alternative to the bill failing isn't the ACA overseen by Trump. It's bipartisanship & regular order.

So if McCain voted yes today, why is he saying he won't vote for the bill as it stands. Is it still possible for big changes to be made? How are these senators going to square this with their constituents who appear to opposing it at town halls all over America.

I don't understand the nuances of the Senate or the passage of a bill properly yet.

The more I read about this, the more confused I get!

At least they are discussing it, but I do fear the worst.

McCain and others voted for debate.

I'm hoping his speech will be recognised as the call to work properly to debate is thoroughly and in depth.

I can't help feeling his point would have come across better if he'd voted with his principles if he's against it.

As for the presser, it was pretty clear El Trumpino has no idea who or what Hezbollah is.

He knows who he is. I reckon he's a little hazy on the rest.
