I know it's been done to death but I need to get this out

Scrumptious.

Fuck that word. Just fuck it.

It's a stupid, self indulgent sort of word.

"Oh isn't he SCRUMPTIOUS!" Angry

It's such a childish word somehow. So Mary Poppins.

Also

Meal

Tummy especially when it's adult to adult.
Peckish, you're hungry or you're not. Peckish makes you sound like a greedy fucker.

Gotanewusernamenow · 18/07/2017 13:54

"Amazing".
As in cookery programmes...
" mmmm that's amazing "

ManyManyShoes · 18/07/2017 13:57

Lush.
Choccy.
Posh.
Toff.
Anything in broad accent hurts my ears.

MintyChops · 18/07/2017 14:01

Cluster

Horrible word and a cluster of anything makes me think of horrible things.
cluster of holes
Cluster Shock
Cluster of crime

I especially hate the term cluster feeding for some reason.

PinkyPudding · 18/07/2017 14:08

Moist 🤢

MrsHathaway · 18/07/2017 14:09

Toppings. As in "jacket potatoes and various toppings". HATE.

deloresclaiborne · 18/07/2017 14:10

phlem
just typing it makes me want to gag

MrsHathaway · 18/07/2017 14:11

Yes, "meal" is usually awful.

Also "property" when what you mean is "home", "house" or "flat". "We bought our property in 2003" or "they've got a little property in Alicante".

AdaColeman · 18/07/2017 14:11

Puter & pooter

Nom nom

Panties

Belly

Northernpowerhouse · 18/07/2017 14:13

Spikeyball · 18/07/2017 14:13

Slacks
Proud especially when followed by mummy

Gotanewusernamenow · 18/07/2017 14:14

When you ask how someone is and they say " I'm good thanks "

Also when someone says "I'll have a coffee". Noooo..its a cup of coffee.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 18/07/2017 14:19

Any deliberate bastardisation of the word 'honey'. DH used to write 'hunni' in text messages and I can't even begin to describe the irrational rage I felt!

Empower.
Nom/noms.
Tasty.
Yummy.
Titties (fucking VILE that one).
Holibobs/holibags.

HerBigChance · 18/07/2017 14:20

Tummy especially when it's adult to adult.

Urgh, yes. Completely infantilising.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 18/07/2017 14:21

Oh, and 'nakey' for 'naked'. Honestly makes me want to stab the person saying it.

KoolKoala07 · 18/07/2017 14:23

Supper.

MartinaMartini · 18/07/2017 14:24

Hubby - I cringe just thinking about it! Grin

Rockhopper81 · 18/07/2017 14:25

Oh yes, 'guestimate' - how could I have forgotten that one?!!
