I've got new neighbours. I really doubt they are my kind of people. They've got a glittery toilet seat.

What makes you hoik up your Irrational Judgy Pants?

I'm not really judgey but feel massively judged. I have word ornaments like bathe and home, fake grass as the rain kept washing the grass seed away, I wear my hair in a bun on top of my head regurlary if that's what a top knot is, my daughter has her ears pierced very young as it's the done thing around here, although she's 18 now. Although I'm not a stay at home mum, have very nice teeth (now work done to them) no botoxed top lip even though I would think it's filler rather than Botox.

0utForAWalkBitch · 17/07/2017 22:54

I'd like to know what was wrong with MaireadPlastic's use of the word scintillating Confused

I judge people who eat McDonald's and KFC. Irrational as I'll happily eat chippie chips or a Domino's.

Whoopwhoopwooo · 17/07/2017 22:56

Aw fuck love and McDonald and KFC too. I'm just a terrible person 😂🍟🍔

MikeUniformMike · 17/07/2017 23:29

You would normally use it to describe something. Scintillating wit/company/diamond etc.

MoonPower · 18/07/2017 00:05

People who use twee names for vagina / fanny - "Gina" "foof" etc...

BMW drivers

People who don't send "thank you" cards / texts for presents I buy their kids.

Tapandgo · 18/07/2017 07:02

whoop
Curious - where is this place where people get their children's ears pierced en masse?

Whoopwhoopwooo · 18/07/2017 08:02

In live in Wales. It's a mining village close to Cardiff. As I said my daughter is 18 but most children in the play group had them done. I have a niece now who's just turned 1 and she does have them, maybe it was a thing at the time? There used to be a waiting list in our local health shop, they used to piece both ears at the same time.

Whoopwhoopwooo · 18/07/2017 08:03

Sorry I meant my niece doesn't have them.

Emmageddon · 18/07/2017 08:44

My friend lost her only son almost 2 years ago when he was 22. She writes to him on Facebook, shares photos of him and some of his artwork (he was a talented illustrator) and it gives her comfort. Her son's friends, some of whom are my DC, also get comfort from this and like to be able to talk about him and speculate what he maybe up to, in the afterlife.

Whoever it was who said something along the lines of 'do you think dead people read Facebook' is horribly insensitive.

Decaffstilltastesweird · 18/07/2017 08:58

Well said emmageddon.

I'm not on fb, but by the sounds of things, this is probably the best possible use of it; communicating with friends about something incredibly significant. Better than spreading bullshit lies from the right wing press about politicians / immigrants or taking endless, pouty selfies.

I've read previous posts of MrsDVs and she always writes intelligently and movingly about her daughter. I think some of the posts after hers about fb were insensitive and ignorant.

BMW and AUDI drivers. They must have to pass a 'stupid' test to own one. People who don't close their curtains at night and anyone can see right into their house.
Then they wonder why they get burgled!
Fag smoking mums.

Why?

MaQueen · 18/07/2017 09:29

Gossipy, bitchy, clique-y behaviour...I feckin hate it with a passion. Yet, so many people seem to love it Hmm

I never understood that sort of behaviour at school, and I understand it even less when I see grown women behaving like it Hmm

ellestyle · 18/07/2017 10:24

New born babies with those huge monstrosities (pink bows) that practically drown their faces. Just WHY?

ManyManyShoes · 18/07/2017 11:19

Yes, why? Hmm

Hey, everyone, did you hear what Maqueen just said? God! I'm not being funny but she...

nina2b · 18/07/2017 11:47

A Facebook page being left up after a person has died is ghoulish.

nina2b · 18/07/2017 11:49

My OH had 3 new BMWs in succession at one point and he is a good and safe driver. I think I judge people who resort to lazy stereotyping.

CremeFresh · 18/07/2017 11:53

Why is a FB page of a deceased person goulish? People have photos up of deceased loved ones .

MrsJayy · 18/07/2017 11:55

My Aunts grandson died of suicide 2 years ago he was in his 20s his facebook is still open his friends write on it the mum of his child posts pictures on it, his family post on it, I don't think it is ghoulish I find it very moving they miss him and his facebook gives them an outlet to share memories and connect with each other.

ConstanceCraving · 18/07/2017 12:00

Of course the stuff posted on dead people's FB pages isn't for them. It's for the people left behind who love them.

Anyone with a problem with that is a dickhead.

queenofthedump · 18/07/2017 12:02

Young kids eating crisps on the way to school in the morning.

nina2b · 18/07/2017 12:09

This thread is too long to read right now but I will get round to it...

Here are some of mine:

•Photos of new born babies in weird resting on chin poses
•Pink elastic bands with bows on baby girls' heads
•Babies with earrings
•Boy babies in little trainers etc
•Allowing your children to run around noisily in restaurants, or anywhere else
•Parents explaining every little thing - in tedious and cringeworthy detail - to their children
•People who dress inappropriately for their years - and look ridiculous
•People who wear "onesies"
•Older people in open-topped sports cars
•Fake nails on anyone
•False eyelashes on anyone
•Fake tan
•Solar lights in gardens - especially on paths
•Plastic windows
•Charger plates
•Saying serviette instead of napkin
•Not putting the loo cover down every time
