I've got new neighbours. I really doubt they are my kind of people. They've got a glittery toilet seat.

What makes you hoik up your Irrational Judgy Pants?

However, having poor grammar and having to buy 'shit plastic shoes' for your children is rarely a choice

Yes I agree with you re. shoes, but I completely disagree with regards to grammar. Everyone is entitled to and receives a free education in this country. Even if you were unsure about grammar/spellings, there are numerous websites that explain things like that which would take no time at all to look up on a smart phone. It's laziness.

PlinkyTheFairyWitch · 16/07/2017 11:03

Never mind smoking while pregnant, when I was on the ward post-EMCS and staggering about outside for a change of scene, I met a woman cheerfully announcing to the world she was in labour whilst smoking a fag.

Reader, I judged.

ConstanceCraving · 16/07/2017 11:04

I don't think poor grammar is down to laziness tbf. If you don't know the difference between their and there for example you're not going to think about googling it!

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:06

Going to get absolutely flamed for this one but...

I judge couples where one is a very high earner who could easily support the family singlehandedly but the other partner goes out to work full time and puts child in childcare. It absolutely baffles me.

(Runs and hides in corner...)

Sandyfeet101 · 16/07/2017 11:07

Of course we have access to free education, but the standard varies dramatically between schools. Working class children statistically don't achieve as well as their middle class peers for a myriad of different reasons. Then of course, there is the huge range in ability and learning difficulties to take into consideration. I think to label all grammatical and spelling errors as laziness is a massive generalisation.

Sandyfeet101 · 16/07/2017 11:08

Yes, quite Constance. You don't know what you don't know!

StrangeLookingParasite · 16/07/2017 11:09

Come on, Parasite, drop it now. We disagree. I reiterate, i didn't say at all you looked shit, you're projecting.

No, actually, it's exactly what you said. Own your words, and don't project yourself. Why does me saying I don't care what your mother thought even matter to you?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/07/2017 11:14

@formerbabe wtf?! Yeah you should hide.

PlinkyTheFairyWitch · 16/07/2017 11:17

Oh come on formerbabe, childcare has lots of benefits for kids as well as parents. As does having two working parents.

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:18

To be fair, it probably says more about me than anything else, because I find it hard to understand why you would work if you don't have to!

(Runs back to the corner)

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:20

Yes of course, but I find it baffling if both parents work long hours if it's not financially necessary.

Ekphrasis · 16/07/2017 11:28

Me too plinky! And we now have a lot of other things growing too that I'm yet to identify. My yarrow has self seeded too and works well as a bit of lawn!

TheFirstMrsDV · 16/07/2017 11:29

People who declare they are 'obsessed' with something or 'addicted' to something when they mean they are interested in something.

Its attention seeking. Being 'obsessed' doesn't make you more interesting or excuse rude behaviour.

Virtue Signalling. Christ but its tedious. Social media has given everyone a platform for their passive aggressive sneering at lesser mortals dressed up as concern for the planet or an obscure incident in a far off land that The Plebs don't know about.

wildbhoysmama · 16/07/2017 11:32

Oh parasite, I didn't say you looked shit. We've been through this. I care because she was divine, lovely, a true feminist and would never have said anything to hurt anyone. I was having a smiley moment to myself about her and you just took it the wrong way.
Like I said, wear what you feel good in and I'm sure you look great. Don't be aggrieved, this is all fun.

TheFirstMrsDV · 16/07/2017 11:32

formerbabe you comments about poor grammar (and those of quite a few others) shows a lack of understanding about the issue.
Its ironic that so many posts complaining about the wilful ignorance of others are so wilfully ignorant themselves.

Ekphrasis · 16/07/2017 11:35

I REALLY judge people who deliberately allow their dog to go onto our front lawn and shit on it.

As I have just discovered. I caught them once actually encouraging their dog to do so.

Angry
CoffeeMilkNoSugar · 16/07/2017 11:37

Oh, one I forgot: I judge anti-vaxxers. Harshly. Unless there's a genuine medical reason why your child cannot be vaccinated, you are one hell of a shit parent if you don't vaccinate.

wildbhoysmama · 16/07/2017 11:39

Bluntness, it's really when it's dark denim, not navy denim, that black would be acceptable. I tend not to wear a lot of black unless it's for work sometimes (prefer navy) so I suppose it solves it for me. Many, many others would disagree ( you sister ) and say even dark denim and black is wrong.
But, hey, wear what you think feels goodSmile

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:39

You are more than welcome to explain them to me. It seems unique to the UK that poverty is so closely linked to underachievement in education, considering education is free to all.

I'm only mentioning it on this thread but in real life, I find it it incredibly rude to comment grammar/spelling and would never dream of doing so.

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:40

MrsWooster · 16/07/2017 11:40

I judge people who take light hearted threads and make it all about them or extrapolate humorous comments into social commentary.
Also glitter writing on clothing

MikeUniformMike · 16/07/2017 11:42

I was going to post exactly what TheFirstMrsDV posted.

There are a few things on here of which I am guilty.
I dressed DCs in similar outfits when they were little as it made it easier to keep an eye on them, and should one have got lost I would know exactly what they were wearing.

Black and navy together. It can work. Some things don't work, for example, a black dress with navy tights and shoes.

formerbabe · 16/07/2017 11:42

People who spell "gorgeous" as "gawjus". You see it a lot on social media. It is not a misspelling, it is completely deliberate.

TheFirstMrsDV · 16/07/2017 11:45

Are you serious? Grin
