A friend of mine had a cousin who happened to also be a cousin of Jim Kerr from Simple Minds. Although my friend was not actually related to Jim Kerr she referred to him as her half cousin. Another friend used to boast that she and Simon Le Bon were at school together, they did indeed go to the same school but not at the same time. Anyone else got any vague claims to fame?

My aunt lived next door to Michael Crawford's grandmother, and met him once when he visited her.

I went to college with Ian Botham's brother. He was universally known as 'Ian Botham's brother' and I have no idea of his real name.

Not simultaneously as far as I know but occasionally in nightclubs as I remember. There was lots of casual shagging between people working in different bars and hunners of disco drugs. My current NDN (in Scotland) used to have a flat in Manchester and his flat mate was Guy Garvie from Elbow.
