A friend of mine had a cousin who happened to also be a cousin of Jim Kerr from Simple Minds. Although my friend was not actually related to Jim Kerr she referred to him as her half cousin. Another friend used to boast that she and Simon Le Bon were at school together, they did indeed go to the same school but not at the same time. Anyone else got any vague claims to fame?

My most tenuous is that I used to work with a woman whose mil used to live next door to Kiki Dee's best friend.

My sis and bil used to live next door to Dawn French's aunty

I used to live upstairs from Freddie Flintoff's grandma

I helped David Beckham move a table at a charity event so we could dance.

My dad used to play tennis with James and Edward Fox
My grandad was friends with Olivia Newton Johns dad and was invited to her christening.
I went to same school as Ed Sherran about 15 years before him though!!

My mum's best friend once bounced Kim Wild on her knee as a baby.
My step sisters husband is the nephew of one of the Troggs (RIP Reg )
And I once sat behind Mark Chadwick of the Levellers (I know I know in some countries that's practically marriage)

A girl I vaguely know slept with Marti Pellow and sold her story to the papers 😲

I once went I my local bike shop 5 minutes after Ali Campbell from UB40 had just left, I've also missed him in the local pub a few times and a friends husband worked on his house.

I used to play pool with a girl who is Robbie Williams cousin.
My brother's friend's auntie once cleaned a lab which had been lectured in by Einstein (some years earlier)
Talking of physicists, I was once in the same room (Durham uni dining hall) as Stephen Hawking. I spoke to Roger Penrose once too.
I told Adam Ant that I had posters of him on my bedroom wall when I was ten. Think I made him feel really old!

And I had a horrible job in an office where Huffty's cousin worked (she was nice, job wasn't). Huffty was a presenter on The Word for a bit.

When I was Milk Monitor (showing my age....,Thatcher Thatcher the Milk Snatcher hadn't phased free school milk out yet) there was a boy on my table whose brother played for Bolton Wanderers Football Team..,,that was a major celeb in my town.

In the wilderness years between PJ and Duncan and Saturday night tv success, my friend (who was also my bridesmaid) met Ant and Dec at a petrol station. Apparently they flirted with her and the friends she was with.

Also my husband wee'd next to Eric Bristow

I feel like I almost am a celebrity, I'm so close to them...

My PE teachers were an Olympic silver medal winner from the South Africa olympics and a bloke who was on Shipwrecked respectively.
