It's shit, but they haven't got a clue, they really haven't. People die every single day, babies to elderly people. Sometimes I can't help, and I wish I could when you hear the pain in people's voices. But you have to accept it. Switching off a ventilator is a final and last act of love because there is nothing else that can be done and you want to take away any pain or suffering

I take your point that it's just a handful of posts but they still made me angry. I like to think that MN is above that. Just because CA are saying awful things it doesn't mean we should stoop to their level.

The way this case has played out is terrible and I think the parents have been exploited. It's really sad and if there is a news blackout I think that was a very good idea.

as much as it pains me to accuse my fellow scientists of being money grabbing - yes, the potential to get a large amount of research funding off the back of this could be a major factor in their willingness to help this cause

I think these threads have been very measured.
I know of 2 people who were sacked for posting pictures on FB, they both broke the Social media policies of their employers. served them right

Aaaagh. I have just had an email from CitizenGo asking me to join them at a demonstration tomorrow. I have once again told them I want to be removed from their database and that I believe Charlie Gard should be allowed with dignity.

The NHS Lothian person is still commenting about hitting gallop with a hammer and calling her a cunt.

My eyes are starting to ache from rolling them so much at the CA page! The people commenting really do seem to be a bunch of uneducated buffoons...
Their protests seem to me to have just caused more trouble (although the Colchester one did make me laugh as it looked like a bad advert for xfactor!)
However I can understand why his parents are fighting so desperately hard, no one wants their child to be so desperately poorly that they have to make the unthinkable decision but they have to start listening to the advice being given. What if they DO get to America and then the doctors over there refuse to treat Charlie as he is too ill, will they go through the same stuff again? And I am really against the barmy army for keeping on saying that it's murder!! Do they not have any thought for people who have have had to make that unthinkable decision and how awful they must feel with a bunch of nobodies calling out its murder?

If GOSH stop holding Charlie prisoner then all three of them can go to the US embassy and ask for political asylum.
They are also talking about how Trump will get them out once their residency is given.
Is residency the same as a green card ?
If so I know people with one and it does not over ride their nationality.
