Wingless DB went to see SM play Ibrox shortly after Live Aid and I never heard him listen to them again! He was well away from them by the time "Belfast Child" dropped - he used to get me to recite all their early albums - Reel to Reel Cacophony, Sister Feelings Call etc. He then moved on to the Who, the Jam and the Rolling Stones.

This has reminds me of Owen Paul (brother of Brian McGee who was the drummer in Simple Minds but left before they hit the big time). Pebble Mill at One as well here so am covering a lot of bases
