To think this song can't be serious. Please tell me it was created as a joke?

Just came across this song and video on my youtube. Apparently it reached number 1!

I'm traumatised from just watching it!

It was meant as a joke surely?

Btw, apparently R Kelly hasn't yet concluded his Trapped in the Closet magnum opus. He has 40 more chapters planned.

I still can't quite believe that he rhymed twisted with midget Grin

I'm downloading all these and making a cheesy 90s CD for the car!

Unicorn81 · 10/07/2017 22:08

Coffeeandcrochet · 10/07/2017 22:10

Anyone else reckon the OP has run away screaming?

Elledouble · 10/07/2017 22:10

GooodMythicalMorning · 10/07/2017 22:11

Aqua- cartoon heroes was my favourite song for ages. I'm 31 too so hair mascara, skirt trousers, glitter, butterfly clips. It's all flooding back. Dsis loved 911. Also those adidas trousers with the poppers up the leg.

rockcake · 10/07/2017 22:11

Today 20:40 OttilieKnackered

Before your time? Are you 18?

Haha, that's what I thought too.... I have fond memories of this track from my children's early childhood

Summerisdone · 10/07/2017 22:11

B*Witched were my idols in year 4 Grin
I've actually been listening to them and many of the other classic gems mentioned on here today, on my 90's/early 00's pop and dance playlist in work.

I work in a pub kitchen and everyone in work was singing along all day. It's not a great playlist to play at weekends though because all of the younger staff (18-22) don't know most of the songs and then make me feel old Sad

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/07/2017 22:11

Cornflake I'd forgotten about that gem.

I feel like Absolute 90s have totally the wrong 90s playlist. Some of these are definitely underplayed.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 10/07/2017 22:12

Some genius has made play lists of the Now albums on Spotify. Currently singing through Now 29! Baaaaabbby come back! Baaaaaby come back!

Whiterabbitears · 10/07/2017 22:12

What about Baby D, Let Me Be Your Fantasy, god that takes me back, that was my teenage song. Happy days!

ScrambledSmegs · 10/07/2017 22:13

Elle they were HUGE in Japan so were Daphne and Celeste

Gingernaut · 10/07/2017 22:14

ScrambledSmegs.

I worked in a hospital and was assisting studies which required specialist brain scans.

We had a collection of cassettes (remember those, OP) as we could only get Radio 1 on the radio in the scanning room.

One dementia patient didn't want any of the cassette choices and the radio was accidentally switch on.

No Limits started blaring out and the patient loved it.

So we were treated to Radio 1 for the afternoon as the patient went through the scanner.

I'll always associate that song with serious medical research.....Confused

squoosh · 10/07/2017 22:14

Yes apparently Shampoo made major ££££ in Japan. Trouble was ace though.

ememem84 · 10/07/2017 22:14

I've made a playlist for my walk to work tomorrow. It includes:

Mr boombastic
Billie piper
No doubt don't speak (also 20 years old this year)
Republica ready to go AND drop dead gorgeous
Spice up your life
Ace of base I saw the sign

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 10/07/2017 22:16

Does anyone remember Sean Maguire?
Also Michelle Gayle?
Classic Eastenders cross over pop careers.

squoosh · 10/07/2017 22:16

Let Me Be Your Fantasy is brilliant.

What about Opus III and all her la la-ing?
