To be really annoyed and at a loss of what to do

Brought a vibrater wand back in January I recently realised I had broken the tip of the charger .so I emailed Ann summers over the weekend I didn't get a reply. Pluss being impaitent I decided to ring them this morning. I asked if I could buy a new charger or where to get one. Woman on the phone told me I could send it back under warranty I kept telling her I had broken it she kept telling me it was fine. They then emailed back with an address to send it to. I asked if I can drop it into the store and got a reply saying they wouldn't except it as I had broken it. I rang back to clarify and ask what I could do the only option was to buy a new vibrater I don't want to do that it cost me over 50 pounds I saved up for it they wouldn't even tell me what the charger was and said they wouldn't recomend I buy one online but of course theree going to say that. In return for all the mix up I got 20% off voucher

Why not just send it back of that's what you were told? They've sent the address of where it needs to go to.

I know they wouldn't sell it but they said it was under warranty

My best guess is that you can return it by post but not to store but im not really sure

If you broke it, then why would they accept it back under warranty?

I imagine that first that assumed it was faulty product, and now they know it's been damaged by yourself they've explained they won't accept it.

I know I told the lady 3 times I broke it she repeatedly told me it was ok I could return it and would be sent a new one I also said there was no need I just need the charger

So either hey misunderstood you, or you misunderstood them.

Either way it's immaterial. Unless your warranty covers damage caused by yourself, the warranty doesn't cover it.

Put it down to experience. It's really not that big a deal.

If you have an email saying it was covered just follow those instructions to send the charger back ( I doubt they want the actual item). Ultimately they may still decide it is your fault but you don't have much to lose if it can't be charged anyway. They may offer you the correct adaptor at a reduced cost.

Been tested few times over the course of my life I have a whole founder full of my report if you don't believe me and I know I broke it I admit fault but when you break or loose say a phone charger it's easy replaceable

That's really crap if they won't even just send you a new charger. They rely on the fact that people are gonna be embarrassed to take it back.

Have a look in maplin. They sell loads of replacement power leads. Take the broken power lead with you. The plug should have the information on it about which output voltage and wattage you want, then you need to match the charger tip type with the one that fits in your vibrator. E.g this product contained the tips to replace the cords for my video monitor when they both broke.
