I'm staRting to wonder who are worse tbh, the Charlies army mob or people who are obsessively posting about people who they don't even know, from their facial expressions, to the fact the child dad had his sunglasses on his head (( God knows what people think of me, i'm currently sat with my sunglasses on my head and reading glasses on my face )) when all I see is two people who.are wasting away from the hell of it all.
As for Charlie, my initial thought was hell, let him go........but thinking on it I know a few little Charlies, children who are pretty much unresponsive, they have machines breathe from them but are loved amd adored by their families. Should every child in this position have their breathing apparatus removed (( and there are many, I live in a small town of 60000 people and can name 3 off the top of my head )) These are children who are ventilated 24 /7 and paralysed. In fact my friends son goes to respite care at our local hospital, he's blind, deaf, he cannot breathe or move and has lived like this for 12 years. There's a patch on the back of his hand which we're pretty sure he can feel and we rub and tap this as we communicate with him. He cannot make sounds but can move his mouth at times but rarely, i've only seen him do this once. His respite care consists of being parked at the nurses station and monitored. Should all these children be put out of their misery ?? Should MN begin a campaign to have them put down ?? I think we're stepping on very dodgy ground if we start to suggest that everyone who is ventilated and non responsive should ve put out of their misery.
I've gone from thinking let him go to let him have the damn treatment, which is apparently a medication. It probably won't work now, he's too far gone. He should have been allowed it back in November (( and how unstable is this child if a couple of weeks ago they were able to transport him to the roof garden, theyre obviously able to move him )) the treatment will bring closure, they'll be able to.say we tried and it didnt work (( being left so long won't have helped )) and that's really important for a couple who have had their child turn into a toddler in front of them whilst he's dying at the same time.
