The whole "commenting here to placemark" thing doesn't bother me but I know it gets some people's backs up. AIBU in telling you about an awesome new discovery I made today ?? Namely if you hover your mouse over the bottom right corner of the last post you've read, it gives you the option to "bookmark" it (the option i hidden until you hover). Then, when you next open the thread it takes you straight to that post! It can be done on any post in the thread, not just the last one, so also useful when RL unavoidably encroaches in the middle of reading a particularly juicy thread . My ghast is well and truly flabby right now!!! Or do most people know about this anyway and I'm just a sad loser failing to be helpful??

Thank you Fru It's not an option on the mobile site so I had to switch to the desktop site to set the preferences to highlight OP posts and my posts and then switch back to the mobile site once I'd saved it.

If you're on the iPhone app to bookmark you drag the comment from the right of you screen.

Also op name is in a different colour to responses.

Sometime back in the mists of time when I used to MN on my ancient iPad, I turned Bookmarks off. I can't remember exactly why now, but there was some issue that made bookmarking extremely annoying or inconvenient or something. Then I got my shiny new laptop but could never be bothered to figure out how turn them back on again.

'Watch thread' is also useless as threads you've commented on end up there too!
